Please stand for the final blessing.
Gracious Lord,
Your Word, spoken in love, created the human family
And in the fullness of time,
Your Son, conceived in love, restored us to your friendship.
Hear the prayers of these parents
Who wish to bring their children to adulthood in the faith.

Watch over and support them
So that as members of your family
They may praise you and glorify you.

We gather today to reflect on the coming year and the faith of our children, your
sons and daughters. Let us bow our heads and pray for and with one another:
May God our Creator, Jesus our Light, and the Holy Spirit our Strength and
Truth, gather us together in prayer and bless our common efforts to pass on our
faith to our children, who will carry it into the future.
We ask this through Christ our Lord. Amen.

We have listened to the Word of God. We have pondered the process of formation
in the faith of our children. Take a moment to think of your child, as you
look at their name on the card in your hands.
What is it that you ask of God for your child
What grace do you ask of God for yourself
If you are ready to participate in this two year process of formation with your
child, we ask you to come forward, place your child’s name in the basket provided,
and renew your Baptismal promises by blessing yourself with the holy
water.
