GED TESTING AVAILABLE ON COMPUTER IN SIOUX FALLS
(Pierre, SD) – The South Dakota Department of Labor and Regulation is partnering with GED Testing
Service to offer the GED test on computer.
Southeast Technical Institute in Sioux Falls is the first testing center to pilot this endeavor, which began on
June 20, 2012.
Offering the GED test on computer allows test-takers to receive instant score results, register and schedule
their test online 24/7, and complete test sections at their own pace.
“GED testing on computer provides adult learners more flexibility and convenience,” said State Labor and
Regulation Secretary, Pam Roberts. “This credential is essential to successfully entering the workforce or
pursuing further educational and workforce training programs.”
GED testing on computer will be expanded to other official testing centers in South Dakota this summer.
The GED test is the only high school equivalency program recognized by all 50 U.S. states and the District of
Columbia. The GED consists of five tests: Math, Science, Social Studies, Writing and Reading.
