Transition: The next 18 months<br />

• Transition to <strong>GED</strong> ® <strong>Testing</strong> on Computer will occur in:<br />

– 32 States (11 committed to Q3; 21 yet to set a date)<br />

– 8 Insular Areas<br />

– 13 Canadian Provinces<br />

– 7 Military/Corrections/Special Sites<br />

• The time is now!<br />

– Decisions to move forward must happen sooner rather<br />

than later to be ready for 2014<br />

– Approvals take time<br />

The <strong>GED</strong> Administrator TM<br />

“The chief administrative officer at each respective<br />

jurisdiction designates a <strong>GED</strong> Administrator TM who is<br />

directly responsible for the operation, management, <strong>and</strong><br />

secure administration of the <strong>GED</strong> ® testing program in<br />

cooperation with authorized PVTCs throughout the<br />

jurisdiction.”<br />
