to what we want to believe: young,
• Craig Travis, PhD, was live on Channel
10 WBNS in Columbus on September 2
talking about how time flies. Dr. Travis
gave time management tips on the
show.
• Does laughter help with weight loss
Steve Wilson, MA, a Columbus area
psychologist, told the “New Bern Sun
Journal” that “laughter, if you do it
often, long enough, intensely enough,
it’s going to cause many of the same
physiological changes in the body as
exercise.” Mr. Wilson is co-founder of
the World Laughter Tour which is led
by certified laugh leaders to mix
laughter and movement to create
“therapeutic laughter exercises.”
However, Mr. Wilson says, “Laughter
itself probably isn’t going to build
stronger muscles. Laughter itself isn’t
going to increase stamina.”
• A “Columbus Dispatch” story titled
“ADAMH Levy Gets Ballot Spot” about
a proposed 2.2 million levy that would
assist the county mental health board
featured David Weaver, PhD. Dr.
Weaver said about the situation, “…
We need an 8.8-mill levy, not a 2.2
mill levy.”
