shows a breakdown of the anatomical sites for all
the cancers that were diagnosed and/or treated
here for the year 2006.

The Frequency of Cancer graphs (Graph 1 and

Graph 2) represent the most common cancers

that were diagnosed and treated at St. Mary
Medical Center in 2006. Breast PROSTATE cancer is the
most frequently diagnosed cancer BLADDER at St. Mary,
with 235 new cases accounting ALL for OTHER 26% of our
analytic caseload in 2006. There were 108 cases

of colorectal cancer, accounting for 12%; 107
new cases of lung cancer, accounting for 12%;
64 cases of prostate cancer, accounting for 7%;
and 45 cases of bladder cancer, accounting
for 5%.

compliance information. Through the year, the
registrars attend seminars that enable them to
update and sharpen the mechanisms of data
