14. Additional assessment may be made <strong>for</strong> purposes benefiting <strong>the</strong> club, o<strong>the</strong>r<br />
than entertainment <strong>of</strong> part <strong>of</strong> its members, in an amount totaling <strong>for</strong> <strong>the</strong> academic<br />
year, September 1 through August 31 following no more than $5.00 per month.<br />
Additional assessments require <strong>the</strong> approval <strong>of</strong> two-thirds <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> membership<br />
present at a regular meeting no less than one month following that regular<br />
meeting at which <strong>the</strong> purpose <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> particular assessment is announced.<br />
25. Expenditures may be authorized by <strong>the</strong> President, ei<strong>the</strong>r <strong>the</strong> Primary or<br />
Secondary Faculty Advisor, <strong>and</strong> ei<strong>the</strong>r <strong>the</strong> Vice President or Treasurer.<br />
Disbursements may be made by <strong>the</strong> President Pro-Tempore only on <strong>the</strong> approval<br />
<strong>of</strong> both <strong>the</strong> Primary <strong>and</strong> Secondary Advisors.<br />
36. All funds not expended after <strong>the</strong> last regular meeting <strong>of</strong> any semester shall be<br />
entered into <strong>the</strong> treasury <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> next semester. That amount shall be no less than<br />
$150, <strong>and</strong> no expenditures may be approved which would likely endanger this<br />
limit.<br />
47. All monies belonging to this organization shall be deposited <strong>and</strong> disbursed<br />
through a bank account established <strong>for</strong> this organization at <strong>the</strong> Student<br />
Organization Finance Center <strong>and</strong>/or <strong>the</strong> Fiscal Office. All funds must be<br />
deposited within 24 hours after collection. The advisor to this organization<br />
must approve <strong>and</strong> sign each expenditure be<strong>for</strong>e payment.<br />
Article VI. Elective Officers<br />
11. The elective <strong>of</strong>ficers <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> Chapter shall consist <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> President, Vice<br />
president, Secretary, <strong>and</strong> Treasurer. Each c<strong>and</strong>idate <strong>for</strong> President shall hold or be<br />
an applicant <strong>for</strong> membership in <strong>the</strong> American Meteorological Society <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong><br />
category <strong>of</strong> at least student member. For benefit <strong>of</strong> national recognition, all<br />
c<strong>and</strong>idates <strong>for</strong> <strong>of</strong>fice are urged to hold student membership, or at least associate<br />
membership.<br />
22. The <strong>of</strong>ficers <strong>of</strong> this organization must meet <strong>the</strong> following requirements:<br />
a. Have a minimum grade point ratio (GPR) as stated below <strong>and</strong> meet that<br />
minimum GPR in <strong>the</strong> semester immediately prior to <strong>the</strong><br />
election/appointment, <strong>the</strong> semester <strong>of</strong> election/appointment <strong>and</strong><br />
semesters during <strong>the</strong> term <strong>of</strong> <strong>of</strong>fice.<br />
01) For undergraduate students, <strong>the</strong> minimum GPR is 2.00. In order<br />
<strong>for</strong> this provision to be met, at least six hours (half-time credits) must<br />
have been taken <strong>for</strong> <strong>the</strong> semester under consideration. In one limited<br />
circumstance, summer semester hours may be applied to this<br />
provision. In order <strong>for</strong> summer coursework to qualify toward a grade<br />
point ratio prior to election/appointment, at least six credit hours<br />
must have been taken during <strong>the</strong> course <strong>of</strong> ei<strong>the</strong>r <strong>the</strong> full or two<br />
summer session(s).<br />
12) For graduate level students <strong>the</strong> minimum GPR is a 3.00. In order<br />
<strong>for</strong> this provision to be met, at least four hours (half-time credits)<br />
must have been taken <strong>for</strong> <strong>the</strong> semester under consideration. In one<br />
