<strong>Frantic</strong> <strong>Assembly</strong> to launch website Forum<br />

In a busy few weeks for <strong>Frantic</strong> <strong>Assembly</strong>, their current touring production of<br />

Lovesong by Abi Morgan added two extra weeks to its run, and their 2010 co-production<br />

with the National Theatre of Scotland, Beautiful Burnout,<br />

announced festival dates in Sydney, Perth and Wellington.<br />

Lovesong will play an extra week at the Lyric Hammersmith, extending its run<br />

there until 4 February, before a week at the Citizens Theatre in Glasgow and, now,<br />

a week at the re-‐furbished Sherman Theatre in Cardiff (14-‐18 February 2012).<br />

Priority booking for Cardiff opens on 16 November 2011, with tickets going on sale<br />

to the general public from 28 November.<br />

Beautiful Burnout took the UK by storm in 2010, and will aim to do the same Down<br />

Under next year when it plays the Sydney Festival (18-‐29 January 2012), Perth<br />

International Arts Festival (10-‐25 February 2012) and New Zealand International<br />

Arts Festival (3-‐18 March 2012).<br />

Responding to an overwhelming demand for direct contact with the company and<br />

as part of its ongoing and pioneering Learn programme, <strong>Frantic</strong> <strong>Assembly</strong> is<br />

launching a Forum to enable anyone interested in their work to have a voice. The<br />

<br />

enable audiences to share their thoughts and responses to <strong>Frantic</strong> productions. The<br />

Forum will launch next week at www.franticassembly.co.uk/forum.<br />

Lovesong sees acclaimed theatre company <strong>Frantic</strong> <strong>Assembly</strong> join forces with<br />

renowned writer Abi Morgan for a new play about lifelong love. Directed by <strong>Frantic</strong><br />

Scott Graham and Steven Hoggett, Lovesong<br />

intertwines a couple in their twenties with the same man and woman a lifetime<br />

later. Their past and present selves collide in this haunting and beautiful tale of<br />

togetherness.<br />

<strong>Frantic</strong> <strong>Assembly</strong>'s celebrated physical style combines movement, design, music<br />

and text. Recent production highlights include Beautiful Burnout (co-‐production


with National Theatre of Scotland), Stockholm by Bryony Lavery, a radical<br />

reworking of Shakespeare's Othello, pool (no water) by Mark Ravenhill, and Dirty<br />

Wonderland, a site specific show for Brighton Festival.<br />
