Applicants: Application Fee
A non-refundable fee of $2,500 must be paid upon submission of an application in order for it to be considered.
Applications will remain valid for a two-year period from the submission date.
New Students: Registration Fee
A one-time, non-refundable Registration Fee of $12,840 applies to newly enrolled students and is payable prior to
attendance. The Registration Fee supports the Operating and Facility Funds and applies to each newly enrolled student
from Preschool through Grade 12. SAS students who plan to re-enroll following an absence are required to cover the
difference between the Registration Fee that they paid upon original enrollment and the current Registration Fee.
Returning Students: Re-Enrollment Fee
A non-refundable Re-Enrollment fee of $2,500, paid by March 1, 2013, is required of any student intending to reenroll
for the following year. Students who fail to re-enroll by the deadline must re-apply without assurance of
admission.
Middle School Students: Technology Fee
Starting in the 2013-2014 school year, an annual Technology Fee of $428 will be added to Middle School student fees
for technology support. Included in this fee is the maintenance and support of individual laptop computers which will
be assigned to each student at the beginning of the school year.
All Students: Facility Fee
The annual Facility Fee of $4,066 is due in full at the time of enrollment and for each subsequent school year. It is not
prorated for late entry or early withdrawal. The Facility Fee is dedicated to the on-going maintenance renewal, and
replacement of campus facilities.
All Students: Tuition Fee
The annual Tuition Fee is due for returning students and at the time of acceptance for new students. Tuition Fees vary
by grade level and are detailed in the Schedule of Fees presented below.
ESOL Fee
For ESOL students in Grades 1-3, there will be an annual surcharge of $5,350. ESOL enrollment is assessed and billed
on a semester basis.
Schedule of Fixed Fees
For all returning students and applicants accepted for the following school year, the total of school fees assessed is due
by June 1 of the preceding academic year. All fees are inclusive of GST.

Additional Costs of Attendance
Families may incur additional costs during enrollment. These changes include, but are not limited to, bus
transportation, school uniforms, field trip, laptop computer (HS), Interim Semester (HS) and some Advanced
Placement courses, as well as AP exams.
Payment of School Fees
All school fees are assessed in Singapore dollars and all payments must be made in Singapore dollars. SAS accepts
payment for school fees in the form of local checks, credit cards and bank-to-bank or wire transfers.
For payments made by check, please ensure that your check is crossed and made payable to “Singapore American
School.” Please note that SAS does not accept checks in US dollars.
For credit card payments, please complete the payment section included with the invoice ensuring that all information
is presented accurately and that you have signed the payment voucher. A 2% administrative fee will be added to all
credit card transactions.
For bank transfer payments please ensure the student’s name and ID number are referenced on your remittance to
enable us to credit the student’s account accordingly. Kindly email your bank confirmation advice to
schoolfees@sas.edu.sg. All bank charges are to be borne by the remitter. Please use the following bank details:

School Fees
The Board of Governors shall establish all fees for the following school year. Fees are billed and payable for the full
year in advance. GST at the prevailing rate of 7% has been included in all fees. The School reserves the right to change
fees and terms prospectively.
Due Date of Fees
The Re-Enrollment Fee for returning students is due by March 1. All other school fees must be paid in full by June 1
to sustain enrollment and to ensure students can begin classes in August. The school may require payment of all school
fees in full, at the time of admission, when deemed appropriate due to enrollment limits, waiting lists, or other factors.
Refund of Fees
Registration, Facility and Tuition Fees are not prorated or refundable in the case of early withdrawal. Neither
Application Fees nor Re-enrollment Fees paid for a given student may be transferred or applied to another student’s

Outstanding Payments
Students with outstanding accounts may have their school attendance privileges revoked by the school until such time
as their accounts are current. If any payment remains upon withdrawal from the school, no transcripts, transfers, or
other records will be released until full payment is received.
