SYNOPSIS
None
This course focuses on ethics in counselling services with
emphasize on eight essential topics in counselling ethics.
Students will be introduce to professional ethics, Counsellor Act
1998, Counsellor rules and regulations: Behaviour and
discipline, clients and counsellors rights, decision making
models, confidentiality: Ethics and legal issues and cases as well
as legal implication. Lecture-based teaching, group assignment,
presentation and case study are the methods used to achieve the
learning objectives of the course.
(Kursus ini memfokus kepada etika dalam perkhidmatan
kaunseling yang akan menekankan lapan topik penting dalam
etika kaunseling. Pelajar juga akan didedahkan tentang
pengenalan kepada etika profesional, Akta Kaunselor 1998,
Peraturan kaunselor: Disiplin dan tingkahlaku, hak kaunselor
dan klien, model pembuatan keputusan, kerahsiaan: Etika dan
isu-isu perundangan dan kes serta isu implikasi perundangan.
Kuliah, tugasan kumpulan, pembentangan dan kajian kes
digunakan bagi mencapai objektif kursus ini.)

By the end of this course, students will be able to:
o analyse organizational counselling ethics and legal through
written assignment. (C4)
o measure ethics and legal in counselling through group
assignment. (P4)
o explain ethics in counselling process through case study.
