MX 64 Multiplexer
The MX64 is a digital access network unit meant for use in the construction of medium
and large networks, which require integration of telephone (POTS,ISDN) and data
transmission traffic. Its maximum capacity is 120 subscriber lines.
Technical specification
interfaces:
- E1maximum of 8 transmission ports
- n x 64 kbit/s, V.35, V.24,
- CB, MB, E&M,
- ISDN BRI S0,
- Ethernet 10/100Base-T (integrated bridge-router).
power supply
48V DC
construction standard 19” (2 x 3U + 1 x 6U
management
through an Ethernet 10/100Base-T interface.
Local management (console) is also possible, as is one
from the DMN network management level based on the
TMN model.
MX 64 Multiplexer
Functions
multiplexing of 64kbit/s and n x 64kbit/s subscriber channels equipped with standard
analogue and digital ports to the E1 line level
servicing E1 line and subscriber ports signaling
static multiplexing of 64kbit/s channels,
drop/insert multiplexing of 64kbit/s time slots within E1 line (fractional E1)
supporting of point-to-multipoint type connections
The MX64 may be equipped with a highly stable frequency pattern. There is a possibility
of synchronizing from a retrieved E1 line signal or an external source of synchronization.
The doubling of main units ensures operational continuity in an event of a breakdown through
automatic switching to stand-by units.
