It all began with our masterpiece: the first orthodontic soother. 

The two dental experts Prof Dr Dr W. Balters and Dr med. dent. A. Müller laid the foundations for NUK with the invention 

of the first orthodontic soother as far back as 1956. Since then, the unique NUK Range of Soothers started 

its success story. The original soother from NUK reduces the risk of tooth misalignment. The special shape of the 

NUK Teat simulates a mother´s nipple during breastfeeding. Apart from that, all NUK Soothers and Teats have the 

NUK Air System.

As body temperature is an important indicator 

of a baby’s health, parents need to be able to 

measure their child’s temperature precisely 

and easily. The NUK Baby Thermometer 2in1 

has an innovative, extra-small measuring tip 

with an infra-red transmitter which lets the 

body temperature be measured in the child’s ear 

within a second. The sensor can also be gently 

rubbed over the temple and in about 5-8 seconds 

an equally accurate result is achieved. If the 

temperature is running high then the LED light 

in the tip shines red – a green light gives the allclear
