Paddling Style
:: Low Angle, the most common
paddling style, relaxed cadence and
less fatiguing on longer trips.
:: High Angle, faster cadence, wider
variety of paddle strokes used and
shorter paddle lengths.
Blade Size
:: Full-size are appropriate for stronger,
well conditioned paddlers.
:: Mid-size blades fits the widest range
of kayakers.
:: Smaller blades are gentle on joints
and great for smaller paddlers.
Shaft Type
Both have benefits.
:: Straight is more traditional, lighter
and less expensive.
