Have you ever thought of unsung heroes of your life Do we take out time to appreciate unsung heroes of<br />

our lives Just look around with your eyes and mind wide open. Defining an unsung hero is difficult. <strong>The</strong><br />

dictionary states that a hero is a person who is admired for courage, nobility especially in war. Eventually, it<br />

is up to every individual who can define hero according to their views.<br />

<strong>Unsung</strong> heroes are present everywhere. <strong>The</strong>y are present in schools, neighborhood, workplaces,<br />

communities, volunteer groups and much more. Our brothers and sisters, volunteers, friends and parents are<br />

the real unsung heroes of our lives and society. <strong>The</strong>y might not receive any awards for their hard work, but<br />

they are driven to do what they do just out of willingness and compassion.<br />

For these unsung heroes, the smiling faces of people, team members and friends is the real token of<br />

appreciation. <strong>The</strong>re are many institutes like the Lowell Milken Center for <strong>Unsung</strong> <strong>Heroes</strong> who acknowledge<br />

their work and give them credit for that.<br />

People who learn skills like sewing, pottery, carpentry, and plumbing are also unsung heroes. <strong>The</strong>re are men<br />

and women who decide to fill the potholes in our streets so that our cars can run smoothly. <strong>The</strong>re are those<br />

who visit the sick community and collect resources to take care of elderly and underprivileged. <strong>The</strong>se people<br />

do not seek recognition or any rewards. <strong>The</strong>y just work endlessly to make our society a better place. <strong>The</strong>se<br />

are the heroes that bind our society and protect us from distress and difficulties.


If a person risks his or her life to save a child from an accident, then such person is also an unsung hero. <strong>Your</strong><br />

parents are also unsung heroes of your life. <strong>The</strong>y support and love you without expecting anything in return.<br />

Even a person who saves a cat from the tree is an unsung hero. Any one doing any act of bravery or courage<br />

deserves to be a hero. <strong>The</strong>ir work has to get credit and appreciation.<br />

<strong>Life</strong> is hard and full of struggles. <strong>In</strong> a way it is the battlefield of our life. So everyone who struggle to<br />

survive, to create their own mark to make a difference in the society, qualifies as unsung hero. Thus, even a<br />

common man who has struggled lifelong and came out positively is an unsung hero! Hence, it is time we<br />

acknowledge what they have done and give them credit.
