• Found on lake shorelines.
Up to 40 cm tall.

• Long, narrow, vertically oriented leaves.
• Its flowering stalk is 20-40 cm tall. At the top, 10-30 light yellow flowers
are clustered together and covered in pale yellow hairs.
• Flowers from August to September, however, flowering is uncommon.

Tubercled Spike-rush Eleocharis tuberculosa
• Found on lake shorelines.
10-40 cm tall.

Stiffly erect flattened stems that grow in dense patches.
•
Distinct oval spike found at the top of each stem.
•
Spikes are made of tiny flowers that turn into dry one-seeded fruit.

• Found on lake shorelines.
30-50 cm tall.

• 1-10 pink flowers with yellow centres.
• Opposite, lance shaped leaves.
• Can be recognized by its basal rosette when not in flower.
• Flowers from mid-July to mid-September.
Flower Close-Up
• Found on lake shorelines.
• Each leaf is rounded with curved edges; 1-3 cm wide.
• Tiny white flowers cluster in a sphere on top of a flower stalk.
• Typically found just above or below the waterline.
• It grows upright above the water and in shallow water (10-30 cm tall
stalks).
