2011 <strong>Rebate</strong> Procedure for Contractors<br />

DUCTED <strong>AC</strong>/<strong>HP</strong> REBATE<br />

1) Obtain rebate application<br />

a. Customer or Contractor may obtain from utility website or utility<br />

personnel<br />

b. Customer is ultimately responsible for application<br />

2) Will customer be applying for a low interest loan Installer must be qualified by<br />

AFC First.<br />

3) Determine qualifying equipment<br />

a. 2011 ENERGY STAR® rated, ducted assembled system.<br />

b. Minimum efficiency for <strong>AC</strong> is 12 EER.<br />

c. Minimum efficiency for <strong>HP</strong> is 14.5 SEER, 12 EER, 8.2 HSPF.<br />

4) Confirm the AHRI reference number on the AHRI or CEE website directory.<br />

5) Did Customer have a Home Energy Solutions assessment at which the existing<br />

system was found operating<br />

a. Customer may be eligible for double the rebate on early retirement only<br />

after HES is completed and only if install is within 90 days after HES.<br />

6) Is Customer choosing <strong>AC</strong>CA QIV installation<br />

a. You must be QIV qualified by the utility. Contact Mark Foley or Michael<br />

Chesney for additional information<br />

b. Obtain QIV form to be completed at the start up from the utility website.<br />

7) Complete the install.<br />

8) Complete and sign the contractor section of the application.<br />

a. Include the AHRI reference number or manufacturer’s certificate<br />

b. Include the HES CT-11- 000000 job number if the doubler applies.<br />

c. Provide installation invoice to Customer with all assembled section model<br />

numbers, or<br />

d. Contractor may manage the document package.<br />

9) Complete the QIV start up report if applicable.<br />

10) Submit complete application package to address on forms.<br />

11) Third party processor reviews applications and payment is made to the applicant,<br />

typically within 90 days. A fault letter will be sent to the applicant if there are any<br />

issues.

2) A copy of a recent customer electric bill<br />

3) A copy of the installation invoice<br />

4) A copy of the QIV report if applicable<br />
