Who? Who is Sarayna? Sarayna is the name of my unborn. Or to be more accurate, the name I intend to give to my first daughter (albeit not yet conceived). Beyond that, it is also the name I give to my creative force, somewhat of an alterego, if you will. What? What is Sarayna Designs? Sarayna Designs Inc. is a fullrange creative company. We offer makeup services and workshops and have also launched a line of decorative pillows. There is also lots more in store for the coming months. When? When was it started? The business was originally launched as Sarayna Designs Makeup Artistry in May of 2009 but has been reregistered as a full range creative company as of 2011. Why? Why did you start Sarayna Designs? I have always loved art and creating and was always challeng- ing myself with various mediums. Designer Patricia Field said, “Don’t ask what you can do. Ask what are you good at.” For me that pretty much sums up the why and so when I had to make a choice, I chose art and formed Sarayna Designs. It provided me with the outlet I needed to share my talents with the world. What Next? There are lots of plans in place regarding the way forward. Much of it is still being ironed out as I go along. The dream has taken on a life all its own and like a slave to my passions I can do nothing but relent in submission. I have my sights set on a line of cosmetics and clothing and more that I can’t Sarayna Designs Jan/Feb 2011 7 mention just yet. The ultimate goal though is to make Sarayna Designs a brand in and of itself that provides products and services of international quality and standards. Extras Tell us a little more about you.
