In the strongest times marushin<br />

1958 a story of success takes its beginning with the formation of a small company<br />
to manufacture motorcycle helmets in Tokyo by Watanabe Shin.<br />
His entrepreneurial vision was affected by his strong quality consciousness and<br />
undeviating innovational power, the characteristic virtues of the rising japan.<br />
From Watanabe‘s first name „Shin“, which means „reliable and tenacious“ and the<br />
japanese word for circle - „maru“ - the brand name Marushin was created.<br />
Maru symbolises the protecting circle around the head of Mister Shin,<br />
consequently a perfect name for a helmet brand.<br />
The Maru shall protect all customers of Marushin helmets and keep away harm<br />
in combination with the newest technologies.
In japan it is tradition not to talk about special achievements.<br />
Let us make an exception here.<br />

In the beginning Marushin helmets have only been distributed in Japan. In the late 80‘s this<br />
changed, when the german business man Ullrich Holzhausen discovered the potential of<br />
the japanese brand.<br />
After Watanabe Shin died, his son sold the brand with all the tools and machinery to Mr. Holzhausen,<br />
the founder of the JF Motorsport Gmbh, a big motorcycle accessoires wholesaler in europe.<br />

The brand was able to establish quickly into the european market, because of the<br />
high quality standard and good comfort, combined with a real high level of<br />
engagement in the professional bike scene.<br />
The passion of Mr. Holzhausen to motorsport built the bridge to many successfull<br />
driver sponsorings and a successfull time in many racing series. With drivers like<br />
Edwin Weibel, Jochen Schmid and Christer Lindholm Marushin was able to win<br />
the Pro Superbike title eight times out of ten.<br />
Marushin also supported Katja Poensgen from her early years on until she was the<br />
first woman to ride a 250ccm bike in the world championship.<br />
Also young riders and rookies have been granted great support by Marushin, not<br />
only in the motorcycle scene, but also kart riders, which have now entered the<br />
formula series.
After 50 years of developing and selling helmets we can look back and be proud. Marushin has always<br />
been a precursor in quality standards and has never entered the war of prices and dumping.<br />

<strong>NX</strong> stands for the next generation of<br />
helmets and contains many features:<br />

By pushing the quick release button on the side of the helmet<br />
the visor can easily be removed from the helmet. To put it on<br />
the helmet again, you only need to press it onto the helmet,<br />
when the flap has clicked in.<br />

All visors are coated with antiscratch and antifog protection<br />
of an especially developed type.<br />
To optimize the field of view, the sharpview technique is used.<br />
With this technology an absolutely brilliant look is guaranteed.<br />
Marushin quality inspectors take samples of every visor type in the<br />
factory to secure the high standard of the ECE proven visors.
The standard <strong>NX</strong> innerliner is made of eudermic materials.<br />
It comes in light colors and is embossed with the marushin<br />
samurai head inside. Between the normal fabric there are<br />
segments of net material to allow a circulation of air within<br />
the inside and outside of the helmet.<br />
Of course the innerliner is completely removable and washable.<br />
Snap-fasteners allow a real easy removement, so it can be<br />
washed immediately and uncomplicated.<br />
For some models of the marushin range the look of the innerliner<br />
can differ, but the features are always identical.<br />
For leather innerliners you have to keep attention for special<br />
cleaning and removing instructions.<br />
The Marushin Anti Roll Off System, which is provided as a safety<br />
feature in every Marushin motorcycle helmet, ensures (provided<br />
the chin-strap is closed and correctly adjusted) that:<br />
a) the helmet cannot pivot off the head from behind<br />
b) the small angle of inclination counteracts the risk of contact<br />
between the chin section of the helmet and the chin or neck<br />
of the rider and<br />
c) the consequences of the helmet contacting the chest cavity<br />
as the result of an accident are reduced.<br />
