the 20<strong>06</strong>-20<strong>07</strong> academic year were Banking <strong>Law</strong>, Competition <strong>Law</strong> and Current Issues in Financial<br />

<strong>Law</strong>. In addition, AIIFL collaborated with the Poon Kam Kai Institute (PKKI) <strong>of</strong> the HKU <strong>Faculty</strong> <strong>of</strong><br />

Business and Economics to <strong>of</strong>fer a Postgraduate Diploma in China Business <strong>Law</strong>.<br />

DLA AIIFL Student Research Fellowship<br />

In 2002, Dibb Lupton Alsop established the DLA AIIFL Student Research Fellowship for HKU LLB,<br />

PCLL and LLM students. <strong>The</strong> Fellowship is intended to enable qualified students the opportunity to<br />

carry out legal research outside Hong Kong in the areas <strong>of</strong> commercial, corporate or financial law.<br />

<strong>The</strong> first Fellowship was awarded to Miss Silvia Wong who obtained her LLB from HKU. Miss<br />

Wong’s research topic was “Protection <strong>of</strong> Workers’ Wages in Insolvency: A Comparative Study<br />

between Hong Kong and Australia” and she completed a research trip to Australia in August 2003.<br />

Dibb Lupton Alsop made a second donation to continue supporting the DLA AIIFL Student Research<br />

Fellowship in 2005. <strong>The</strong> second Fellowship was awarded to Miss Li Huijun who obtained her LLB<br />

from King’s College London. Miss Li’s research topic was “Shanghai as an International Financial<br />

Center – Emergence and development to date and future”.<br />
