Judge Wall was born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, and grew up
in southeastern Wisconsin. He graduated from the
University of Texas in 1982 with a bachelor's degree in
journalism and worked in radio and television broadcasting
in Texas and Louisiana before enrolling in law school.
In 1986 he graduated from the Marquette University Law
School in Milwaukee in the top third of his class. That same
year he moved to Las Vegas and passed the Nevada Bar
Exam. He worked for a prominent civil litigation firm until
entering the criminal justice system as a Deputy Public
Defender in 1987.
Over the past 16 years, Judge Wall has worked at the highest
levels of the criminal justice system, as both a prosecutor and
a defense attorney. He also has worked for several years in
the area of civil litigation with two separate prominent
firms.
He was hired by the Clark County District Attorney's Office
in 1996 and become a Chief Deputy District Attorney. From
1997 to 2001, he was a member of the elite Major Violators
Unit in the District Attorney's Office, which prosecutes
primarily homicide and other high profile cases. During that
time, he teamed with District Attorney David Roger in the
successful prosecution of Richard Tabish and Sandra
Murphy for the murder of Ted Binion.

Judge Wall is active in the community, as a member of the
Las Vegas Founders Club and the Chamber of Commerce
Leadership Las Vegas program. He also volunteers as a
radio commentator for the UNLV Lady Rebels basketball
program.
