Therefore, we can say that he wants:<br />
(1) To shorten <strong>the</strong> duration <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> battle as much as possible.<br />
(2) To keep his troops from bloodshed as much as possible because he knows that this <strong>will</strong><br />
scare his troops and it <strong>will</strong> be one <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> factors in prolonging <strong>the</strong> battle.<br />
Therefore, <strong>the</strong> enemy puts a vile plan in place for achieving <strong>the</strong>se two goals. This plan is<br />
that he <strong>will</strong> avoid bloodshed as much as possible; ra<strong>the</strong>r, he <strong>will</strong> work to imprison a large<br />
number <strong>of</strong> youth and paint <strong>the</strong> picture that those who do not resist under pressure <strong>will</strong> not<br />
be fired upon. In reality, he does not hope that <strong>the</strong> matter comes to that. In <strong>the</strong> first period<br />
<strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> <strong>stage</strong> <strong>of</strong> imprisoning, as long as <strong>the</strong>re continues to be a large number <strong>of</strong> people<br />
outside (<strong>of</strong> prison), he applies a modest amount <strong>of</strong> pressure within <strong>most</strong> <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> prisons,<br />
except on a few <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> bro<strong>the</strong>rs that he intends to put pressure on. Then when he ga<strong>the</strong>rs<br />
<strong>the</strong> largest amount <strong>of</strong> bro<strong>the</strong>rs in <strong>the</strong> prisons, he begins to pressure all <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> bro<strong>the</strong>rs within<br />
<strong>the</strong> prisons and <strong>the</strong>ir kin outside <strong>the</strong> prisons. He begins to make <strong>the</strong> prisons a hell, resorts to<br />
al<strong>most</strong> prohibiting visits, works to monitor <strong>the</strong> support and assistance <strong>which</strong> reaches <strong>the</strong>ir<br />
kin, and <strong>the</strong> picture becomes bleak. Thus, <strong>the</strong> people begin to prohibit <strong>the</strong>ir kin from<br />
joining <strong>the</strong> mujahids or assisting <strong>the</strong>m on account <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> many examples <strong>the</strong>y see. The<br />
condition <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> mujahids begins to decline, to say nothing <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> Taghut who begins in this<br />
<strong>stage</strong> to change his strategy from one <strong>of</strong> minimizing bloodshed and multiplying arrests to a<br />
strategy <strong>of</strong> termination and extermination after everyone has been prepared for it <strong>through</strong><br />
<strong>the</strong> media. He undertakes operations <strong>of</strong> killing during police raids and here <strong>the</strong> situation<br />
approaches its end and <strong>the</strong> patience <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> mujahids begins to be exhausted—God forbid!—<br />
after <strong>the</strong> situation began to exhaust <strong>the</strong> patience <strong>of</strong> those youths who were in prison.
