1. Release to the c<strong>on</strong>signee if no pest is found in the c<strong>on</strong>signment<br />
2. Treat the commodity if the pest found can be eliminated by<br />
internati<strong>on</strong>ally approved treatment<br />
3. Hold under post-entry quarantine for a period of time<br />
4. If found infested with dangerous quarantine pest, and treatment is<br />
not possible:<br />
• Return to the port of origin<br />
• Ship to other countries that will accept the c<strong>on</strong>signment, and<br />
• Destroy the c<strong>on</strong>signment<br />
5. In all cases, the corresp<strong>on</strong>ding fees and charges shall be borne by<br />
the importer.<br />
Permits shall be revoked and further permit issuance shall be refused<br />
if the materials have the following findings:<br />
1. Inspecti<strong>on</strong> and certificati<strong>on</strong> are c<strong>on</strong>firmed to be merely superficial:<br />
2. Failure of the Permittee to give the required notice<br />
3. False notice;<br />
4. Misdeclared shipment;<br />
5. Falsificati<strong>on</strong> of plant quarantine terms and c<strong>on</strong>diti<strong>on</strong>s imposed in<br />
the permit;<br />
6. Other violati<strong>on</strong>s of plant quarantine rules and regulati<strong>on</strong>s<br />
