Unfinished Business—Election of our ATC officers and board. George
Tibaldi casts one vote for the slate, as follows:
Betty Stockdale, President - Tammy Sandin, 1st VP—Ann Thomas, 2nd
VP—George Tibaldi, Treasurer—Dan Flynn, Secretary—Sheryl Vogt,
Sharon Abmeyer, Wendy Warnock & Carolyn Wolters, Board members.
New Business—Wendy Warnock presented the contract with The Canine
Ranch for our ED equipment storage. It is for $30.00 per month.
Discussion on Breed trophies for our October 21st show. Sharon Abmeyer
moved to keep the same trophy offering as prior years, 2nd by Wendy
Warnock.
The “Parade of Champions” class was also discussed. Motion by George
Tibaldi to keep for this year, 2nd by Sharon Abmeyer.
The subject of ED site clean-up and recovery was discussed and Wendy
Warnock moved that we hire hourly labor to move dirt, cover tunnels and
store liners, 2nd by Sheryl Vogt. Sheryl will coordinate.
Awards—Betty Stockdale presented her annual awards as follows:

Tibaldi and Dan Flynn. MVP to Carolyn Wolters.
Awards—Ann Thomas presented MVP Awards to Laura Clark and

Dear ATC Members:
From the President
This newsletter is one of the easiest I have ever written. I have so much
praise for the Earthdog Event. I can attribute this to Wendy Warnock and
Carolyn Wolters, Sharon Abmeyer, Sheryl Vogt, Janie Smith, Bill Beard
and all the tireless helpers who made this a tremendous first effort success.
I just felt proud. It was so nice and just think how it would have been if
the weather had cooperated. The judges and exhibitors (as well as the
dogs) all had a great time, despite the cold and the snow.
Tammy Sandin put our Annual Meeting together and everyone brought
some of their dog art. We enjoyed seeing everyone’s favorite paintings
and prints and hearing the history of the pieces.
Sheryl Vogt joined the ATC Board and we are looking forward to working
with her and having her ideas.
March 7, 2010 we are having a “B” Match at the Canine Academy and
Keith Bates is judging so everyone plan to come and bring your puppies or
older dogs who have not gotten a major yet.
Congratulations to Carolyn Wolters and Sharon Abmeyer on their Breed
win at Westminster and their beautiful Welsh Terrier, “Josh”. I had
looked all day long to see who won and did not know until Tracy walked
in the Group ring with him. That made it more fun for me that Tuesday
night.
This is going to be a great year and fun for the Atlanta Terrier Club. I look
forward to seeing you all at the next meeting.

Minutes of the Annual Meeting, February 11, 2010—Nancy G’s Café
Meeting was called to order at 7:10 PM by President Betty Stockdale
Sign-in sheet was circulated. 22 members and 1 guest were present.
Minutes from last meeting—Secretary was absent, no minutes were read.
President’s Report—Betty opened the meeting with a welcome message
to everyone and a thank you for coming. Betty wished everyone a Happy
Valentine’s Day that is coming up. She also thanked the officers and
board for their dedication. Well wishes and success to the Earthdog committee
for all the hard work they are doing for our 2010 event.
Meeting was recessed for dinner and recalled at 7:48 PM.
Treasurer’s Report—$15,707.53 in all accounts which does not reflect
Earthdog entry proceeds.
Committee Reports
Sunshine—A card has been sent to Bob Moore. Please keep Bob in
your prayers.
Upcoming Programs- 2010 ATC Earthdog Trials February 13th &
14th—ATC “B” Match scheduled for March 7th at the Canine Academy,
Darla Lacey is our Show Chair. We are still working out details
for our April 2010 Fun Day Picnic.
Show Report—Ann Thomas is looking for volunteers especially for
fund raising. Sharon Abmeyer will take on Hospitality and Dan Flynn
will manage the advertising. Laura Clark will do trophies.
Earthdog—Only a few details left unfinished at this point. We have
a very nice entry this year.
Membership—None to read. Eleanor Steiger requested that anyone
having updates to their information, please let her know.

Treasurer’s Report
As of February 24, 2010
Our club balance is $16,312.00 for all our accounts as of 2/24/2010. We
have just completed our Earthdog event this month with great success. All
expenses are not in yet but I can report that $4,122.00 was the total income
from the Earthdog registration fees. Our fiscal year ends 2/28/2010 so I
will report in the next newsletter a full year financial picture with the
Earthdog and Specialty show.

Member/Judge Bob Moore has been hospitalized. We have no further
news of his condition. Janie Smith has sent him a Get Well card with our
wishes for a speedy recovery.
If ever there is an accident or illness that befalls any of our membership
and they could be cheered up by hearing from us please contact Janie
Smith by phone or email so that they will know we are all thinking about
them and wishing a speedy recovery.

From the Earthdog Chairman
The Atlanta Terrier Club held their first Earthdog trial at the new
site, The Canine Ranch, on February 13th and 14th. At one point it
looked as though the weather was going to cause major problems.
We were trying to do the final set up in a blizzard on Friday, and on
Saturday, the roads were so icy that we were wondering if anyone
would be able to show up at all. We postponed the start time to
give the roads a chance to start thawing and finally got things underway
by midday. Then, of course, our concern was that, as we
had two tests on Saturday, we’d be finishing the second one in the
dark. But, surprisingly, and thanks in no small measure to our
judges, once we got going everything went smoothly and we were
done before the sun went down. By Sunday, the snow and ice had
gone and we were just left with mud, which was no deterrent at all
to Earthdog folks who truly understand the concept of ‘playing in
the dirt’.
We had a total of 165 pre-entries and only 15 of those were absent
due to the weather. In one case it wasn’t our weather, but Virginia’s,
that made the trip impossible. We had 43 day-of entries,
giving us a total of 208 entries altogether. 35 dogs achieved qualifying
ribbons, with a sprinkling of New Titles and one Iron Dog.
While the weather outside maintained below-freezing temperatures,
we were fortunate to have the use of the Canine Ranch’s heated
Training Center for registration and as somewhere both people and
dogs could hang out and defrost. Sharon Abmeyer presided over
the serving of a hot lunch on Saturday which further helped to
chase away the chills outside.

President’s Report—Betty opened the meeting with a welcome message
to everyone for coming to tonight’s program. Our program guest speaker
is Melissa Slocum and she will be talking about teeth cleaning without
anesthesia.
Betty also thanked George and Barbara for the successful Holiday party
they hosted in December. Also a reminder to everyone about our Earthdog
Trials that are coming up in February and the need for helpers for this key
event. Anyone interested in participating as a helper or entry assistant
please contact Wendy Warnock.
Upcoming Programs—February 2010 Annual Meeting at Nancy G’s and
our ATC Earthdog Trial on February 13-14 and our ATC “B” Match
scheduled for March 7th. Darla Lacey is our show chair. Please see our
website or newsletter for more information and upcoming events.
Secretary’s Report—Dan Flynn reported we received AKC notice to
submit 2010 Officers and Board members.
Treasurer’s Report—George Tibaldi reported $16,399.00 on hand.

Old Business
We confirmed the correct paperwork to submit to IRS for nonprofit
organizations. Carolyn Wolters motioned that George
seek professional CPA counseling to ensure that we are filing
Form 990N correctly, seconded by Sharon Abmeyer. Motion
passed.
We will pursue looking for a new storage solution. Consideration
will be given to locations near our events. With Earthdog
on the North-West side of Atlanta and our AKC Specialty on
the South side we may have to have two different storage units.
We will research and discuss further once we get some quotes.

Thanks are due to so many people for making this event happen,
especially the Earthdog Committee, Carolyn Wolters, Sheryl Vogt,
Janie Smith and Bill Beard. The ATC Board gave us unfailing encouragement
and support and everyone who volunteered their help
before the during the event did a wonderful job. Our volunteers
included Bob Abmeyer, Paul Hulsing, Darla Lacey, Judy Kozma,
Lisa Stanley, Annette Donovan, Ann and Tim Geib, and Sharon
and Trent Aenchbacher. Also, my thanks to John Behan and Rick
Hagler for always being around to answer questions and provide
practical help when we needed it.
Now, it’s time to start thinking about our next Earthdog event. If
you would like to be part of our committee, please let me know. No
experience is necessary, just enthusiasm and commitment.
Thank you all again for making our first effort at putting on an
Earthdog Trial such a success!
