Double Unit Sign on/Sign off

<strong>Double</strong> <strong>Unit</strong> <strong>Sign</strong> on/<strong>Sign</strong> off

<strong>Double</strong> unit sign on.
<strong>Unit</strong> one inputs his
information in unit #1
and portable field.
The second unit’s unit
number is inputted
into <strong>Unit</strong> #2 and
portable field.
Do not utilize ride
along.
Transmit the message.
If there is no data
coverage log information
via voice to Comm Center.

<strong>Unit</strong> one and unit two
are now signed on.
Check status
If it does not say
available push
“Clr/On Ptrl”
<strong>Unit</strong># 2 will be tied to
unit #1 history in CAD.
As long as unit #1
status is update hourly
unit #2 will also be
updated.
<strong>Unit</strong> #1 should be
primary radio user.
If unit #2 uses the radio
unit #2 should identify
himself with unit #1.
Example. “9914
Columbus I’m with
9912 signal 7”.

If you want to check that
unit #2 is tied to your unit
history:
Select the SF3 tab.
Select Stat Log.
Enter information into
“By Info for <strong>Unit</strong>”
Select NR for Agency
Enter your unit number
Select I in Log\Info
Transmit.

Select and open the received
message.

Check response.
<strong>Unit</strong> #2 personnel number
Should be displayed beside
unit one.
<strong>Unit</strong> two’s name should be
displayed beside unit one.
Push green back button.

<strong>Double</strong> unit sign off, to clear
unit #2 from unit #1:
Both units must <strong>Sign</strong> off at
the same time.
Clear out unit number in unit
#1 and unit #2 field and
replace with **.
To input ** push shift 8 twice
in unit #1 and unit #2 field.
Transmit

Check for signed off in
status window.

If both units continue
working separately.
Both units sign on to their
own MCT.
<strong>Unit</strong> #1 clears unit #2 unit
number from portable field.
Transmit

Check status window.
Push “Clr/On Ptrl”
if status is blank.

If unit #1 wants to check to
see if unit #2 is tied to his
history:
Select SF3 tab.
Push Stat log.
Enter information into:
“By Info for <strong>Unit</strong>”
NR for Agency.
Enter unit number in unit id
field.
Select I for Log\Info
Transmit

Select and open the received
message.

Check message.
<strong>Unit</strong> #2 personnel number will
be removed.
<strong>Unit</strong> #2 name will be
removed.
Push green back button.
