If it does not say<br />
available push<br />
“Clr/On Ptrl”<br />
<str<strong>on</strong>g>Unit</str<strong>on</strong>g># 2 will be tied to<br />
unit #1 history in CAD.<br />
As l<strong>on</strong>g as unit #1<br />
status is update hourly<br />
unit #2 will also be<br />
updated.<br />
<str<strong>on</strong>g>Unit</str<strong>on</strong>g> #1 should be<br />
primary radio user.<br />
If unit #2 uses the radio<br />
unit #2 should identify<br />
himself with unit #1.<br />
Example. “9914<br />
Columbus I’m with<br />
9912 signal 7”.
If you want to check that<br />
unit #2 is tied to your unit<br />
history:<br />
Select the SF3 tab.<br />
Select Stat Log.<br />
Enter informati<strong>on</strong> into<br />
“By Info for <str<strong>on</strong>g>Unit</str<strong>on</strong>g>”<br />
Select NR for Agency<br />
Enter your unit number<br />
Select I in Log\Info<br />
Transmit.
Select and open the received<br />
message.
Check resp<strong>on</strong>se.<br />
<str<strong>on</strong>g>Unit</str<strong>on</strong>g> #2 pers<strong>on</strong>nel number<br />
Should be displayed beside<br />
unit <strong>on</strong>e.<br />
<str<strong>on</strong>g>Unit</str<strong>on</strong>g> two’s name should be<br />
displayed beside unit <strong>on</strong>e.<br />
Push green back butt<strong>on</strong>.
<str<strong>on</strong>g>Double</str<strong>on</strong>g> unit sign <strong>off</strong>, to clear<br />
unit #2 from unit #1:<br />
Both units must <str<strong>on</strong>g>Sign</str<strong>on</strong>g> <strong>off</strong> at<br />
the same time.<br />
Clear out unit number in unit<br />
#1 and unit #2 field and<br />
replace with **.<br />
To input ** push shift 8 twice<br />
in unit #1 and unit #2 field.<br />
Transmit
Check for signed <strong>off</strong> in<br />
status window.
If both units c<strong>on</strong>tinue<br />
working separately.<br />
Both units sign <strong>on</strong> to their<br />
own MCT.<br />
<str<strong>on</strong>g>Unit</str<strong>on</strong>g> #1 clears unit #2 unit<br />
number from portable field.<br />
Transmit
Check status window.<br />
Push “Clr/On Ptrl”<br />
if status is blank.
If unit #1 wants to check to<br />
see if unit #2 is tied to his<br />
history:<br />
Select SF3 tab.<br />
Push Stat log.<br />
Enter informati<strong>on</strong> into:<br />
“By Info for <str<strong>on</strong>g>Unit</str<strong>on</strong>g>”<br />
NR for Agency.<br />
Enter unit number in unit id<br />
field.<br />
Select I for Log\Info<br />
Transmit
Select and open the received<br />
message.
Check message.<br />
<str<strong>on</strong>g>Unit</str<strong>on</strong>g> #2 pers<strong>on</strong>nel number will<br />
be removed.<br />
<str<strong>on</strong>g>Unit</str<strong>on</strong>g> #2 name will be<br />
removed.<br />
Push green back butt<strong>on</strong>.
