Holiday Workshops 24 September – 3 October 4 – 7 YEARS All students participating in these workshops must be accompanied by an adult. $7.50 per session. Accompanying adults free! Spring Mobiles Create a colourful spring mobile of handmade birds and blossoms. Using a range of decorative papers, card, pens, wire and wool these mobiles are sure to brighten up any room. 11am – 12pm Tuesday 24 September and 1 October 1.15 – 2.15pm Wednesday 25 September and 2 October Creatures Alive It’s spring and it seems everything has come to life. In this workshop participants will create their own creative creature using wire, foam, felt and more. After the creature has been made, participants can also choose to create a web or home in which their creature could live. 1.15 – 2.15pm Tuesday 24 September and 1 October 11am – 12pm Wednesday 25 September and 2 October
8 – 14 YEARS $10.50 per session Optical Art Inspired by some of the paintings in our current exhibition, participants in this workshop will have the opportunity to learn a little of the history and aims of optical art and then create optical artworks of their own using coloured markers and pens. *Optical (Op) art works are abstract, with many of the better known pieces made in black and white. When the viewer looks at them, the impression is given of movement, hidden images, flashing and vibration, patterns, or alternatively, of swelling or warping. 11am – 12.30pm and 1.30 – 3.00pm Thursday 26 September 11am – 12.30pm and 1.30 – 3.00pm Thursday 3 October Bookings essential for all workshops Payment must be made at time of booking Workshop dates may be swapped but unfortunately no refunds are available.
