Logo Contest Rules & Regulations
The Young Investigators in Systems Biology network needs a logo! Do you have the
creativity in you? Then get ready to participate in the YISB logo competition. The winner will
take home a multi-touch tablet to interact with the computer!!
How to participate
All you need to do is prepare a logo based on the guidelines below and email your
contribution to a.goel@few.vu.nl before December 15 th 2010, 11:59 pm.
Please include the following details in your email:
Your name
Your current position and group
Your email address
Your phone number and postal address
The Prize
Wacom’s Bamboo Pen & Touch multi-touch tablet.
Guidelines
All submitted work must be original and not based on any pre-existing design.
The logo needs to contain the abbreviation of the network name: YISB.
The submitted file should be in one of the following formats: .svg, .eps or .pdf.
The logo should use one or more of the colours shown below. It is also allowed to apply
transparency effects.

Winner Selection
The YISB will notify the winner by email and announce it on its website on January 15 th 2011.
The logo will be displayed on the official website of YISB.
Decision of the judges and YISB is final, to choose the best logo, from the collection of logos
including the in-house one and all the entries submitted. The winner must meet the eligibility
requirements. In the event that there is no entry selected, YISB reserves the right to declare
no winner and run the contest again at a later date.
Legal aspects
By entering, each contestant agrees to be bound by the rules. YISB is not responsible for
illegible, lost, delayed or misdirected email, or incomplete entries.
YISB reserves the right to exclude from the competition all the submissions that do not follow
the defined guidelines.
The winning logo shall become the official symbol of YISB network. It will be used on the
website, stationery and other promotion items. The prize winner shall therefore sign a
release form that grants exclusive rights to YISB publish, edit and display the submitted
image for any suitable purpose and disallows the winner to use the logo elsewhere
The prize is non-transferable and there may be neither cash nor other substitutions.
