Silent Auction Procedures
Your bid is a contract to purchase a particular item. All sales are final.
No exchanges or refunds will be made.
1. Items and services will be on display at the 175th Anniversary Gala,
June 9, 2007 from 6:30pm – 7:45pm. Not all available items are listed in
this brochure. Please see the Auction Table for additional items. Every
effort has been made to describe packages as accurately as possible based
on donor’s description.
2. Bidding will close at 7:45pm. For your convenience, items may be
paid for by cash, check, Visa, MasterCard and American Express. Checks
should be made out to Overbrook School for the Blind.
3. For packages offering personal services such as trips or special events,
arrangements are the responsibility of the purchaser. These packages are
subject to a mutually agreeable date and time between donor and purchaser
and will expire when stated.
4. Bid sheets are next to the item on display. Please print your bidder
number next to the dollar amount of your bid on the sheet. Please note
that there is a specified opening bid amount. Bid raises must be made in
increments listed on the Bid Sheets. Bids below these minimums will be
disqualified.
5. The bidder’s bid number must be clearly legible to constitute a valid
bid.
6. Bidders may make any number of bid raises until the closing of the
Silent Auction.
7. Winning bids will be posted outside of the ballroom and will be
available at approximately 8:30. The cashier station will be open from
9:30pm – 11:45pm for check out. Payment must be made at the Cashier
Station before the item is taken. Winning bidders will receive a PAID
RECEIPT from the cashier. Items can be claimed by presenting the receipt
at the Auction Table.
