Silent Auction Procedures<br />

Your bid is a contract <strong>to</strong> purchase a particular item. All sales are final.<br />

No exchanges or refunds will be made.<br />

1. Items and services will be on display at <strong>the</strong> 175th Anniversary Gala,<br />

June 9, 2007 from 6:30pm – 7:45pm. Not all available items are listed in<br />

this brochure. Please <strong>see</strong> <strong>the</strong> Auction Table <strong>for</strong> additional items. Every<br />

ef<strong>for</strong>t has been made <strong>to</strong> describe packages as accurately as possible based<br />

on donor’s description.<br />

2. Bidding will close at 7:45pm. For <strong>you</strong>r convenience, items may be<br />

paid <strong>for</strong> by cash, check, Visa, MasterCard and American Express. Checks<br />

should be made out <strong>to</strong> <strong>Overbrook</strong> <strong>School</strong> <strong>for</strong> <strong>the</strong> <strong>Blind</strong>.<br />

3. For packages offering personal services such as trips or special events,<br />

arrangements are <strong>the</strong> responsibility of <strong>the</strong> purchaser. These packages are<br />

subject <strong>to</strong> a mutually agreeable date and time between donor and purchaser<br />

and will expire when stated.<br />

4. Bid sheets are next <strong>to</strong> <strong>the</strong> item on display. Please print <strong>you</strong>r bidder<br />

number next <strong>to</strong> <strong>the</strong> dollar amount of <strong>you</strong>r bid on <strong>the</strong> sheet. Please note<br />

that <strong>the</strong>re is a spec<strong>if</strong>ied opening bid amount. Bid raises must be made in<br />

increments listed on <strong>the</strong> Bid Sheets. Bids below <strong>the</strong>se minimums will be<br />

disqual<strong>if</strong>ied.<br />

5. The bidder’s bid number must be clearly legible <strong>to</strong> constitute a valid<br />

bid.<br />

6. Bidders may make any number of bid raises until <strong>the</strong> closing of <strong>the</strong><br />

Silent Auction.<br />

7. Winning bids will be posted outside of <strong>the</strong> ballroom and will be<br />

available at approximately 8:30. The cashier station will be open from<br />

9:30pm – 11:45pm <strong>for</strong> check out. Payment must be made at <strong>the</strong> Cashier<br />

Station be<strong>for</strong>e <strong>the</strong> item is taken. Winning bidders will receive a PAID<br />

RECEIPT from <strong>the</strong> cashier. Items can be claimed by presenting <strong>the</strong> receipt<br />

at <strong>the</strong> Auction Table.
