<strong>Juliette</strong>’s vision. <strong>Juliette</strong> <strong>Gordon</strong> <strong>Low</strong> founded<br />
the <strong>Girl</strong> <strong>Scouts</strong> in 1912 with a vision <strong>of</strong> bringing girls and<br />
young women <strong>of</strong> all backgrounds together and giving<br />
them the opportunity to develop self-reliance and<br />
resourcefulness.<br />
GSSI shares <strong>Juliette</strong>’s vision. The <strong>Girl</strong> <strong>Scouts</strong><br />
<strong>of</strong> <strong>Southern</strong> <strong>Illinois</strong> shares <strong>Juliette</strong>’s vision and our<br />
volunteers, staff and Board <strong>of</strong> Directors are committed<br />
to providing girls in our communities an outstanding<br />
<strong>Girl</strong> Scout Leadership Experience that gives them the<br />
courage, confidence and character to make the world<br />
a better place for everyone.<br />
Your Legacy. One <strong>of</strong> our greatest aspirations in life<br />
is to leave a mark -- to make a difference. You can help<br />
the <strong>Girl</strong> <strong>Scouts</strong> <strong>of</strong> <strong>Southern</strong> <strong>Illinois</strong> provide life-changing<br />
services, programs and opportunities for nearly 14,000<br />
girls and 4,800 adult volunteers. You can help GSSI<br />
provide a premier leadership experience for girls -- an<br />
organization that is dynamic, vibrant, and relevant and<br />
meets the needs <strong>of</strong> our girls. You can help GSSI provide<br />
girls leadership opportunities and challenges for growth<br />
which will have a pr<strong>of</strong>ound impact on the women they will<br />
be tomorrow -- and the subsequent influence they will<br />
have on their families, their communities, our nation and<br />

Your gift. Your gift to the <strong>Juliette</strong> <strong>Gordon</strong> <strong>Low</strong> <strong>Society</strong><br />
will support girls and young women right here in southern<br />
<strong>Illinois</strong>. Your gift will help fund girl program development,<br />
assist in camp maintenance and improvements and<br />
provide financial assistance so all girls, regardless <strong>of</strong><br />
their family’s financial ability, can benefit from the <strong>Girl</strong><br />
Scout Leadership Experience. Your JGL <strong>Society</strong> gift may<br />
include:<br />
- An outright gift <strong>of</strong> cash or publicly traded securities,<br />
either one-time, or pledged over 3 years<br />
- A bequest in your will naming GSSI as owner or<br />
beneficiary <strong>of</strong> a paid-up life insurance policy or<br />

- A transfer <strong>of</strong> your real estate to GSSI<br />
