The cost of a typical installation is about USD $500. This covers all of the equipment and<br />
installation expenses necessary to mount an antenna on a rooftop, run cables indoors, setup an<br />
indoor router, and connect personal computers to the router. Nodes are guaranteed to be installed<br />
within two weeks, depending on the availability of equipment that must be imported.<br />
One thing that is not addressed in the contracts is a maintenance service agreement. Currently<br />
minor maintenances are performed free-of-charge and the teams available to do so. Most times,<br />
maintenance is something very simple but because volunteers perform the maintenance, as there is<br />
no full-time staffing, often it can take weeks to fix a minor issue.
