"That we're engaged," suggested <strong>Harry</strong>, "there's no point in telling them anything else. Most of the<br />

people who know us knew it was going to happen sooner rather than later <strong>and</strong> even those that don't<br />

know us can see how perfect we are to each other. I don't think it'll come as a big surprise to most of<br />

our friends."<br />

Ginny couldn't help but giggle, "No, I don't think it will," she said, still happier than ever. As they<br />

walked silently down the now fixed halls Ginny couldn't help but remember the years she had spent at<br />

Hogwarts.<br />

Her first year, mostly a blur, but what she did remember was a bit scary, a bit melancholy, <strong>and</strong> a lot<br />

nervous. Her second year, not wanting to come back at first, but then being pushed into it, <strong>and</strong><br />

wondering what people would think of her, being accepted by friends. Third year, the tri-wizard<br />

tournament, <strong>and</strong> the slight fear she had had for <strong>Harry</strong>, the hope that he would ask her to the Yule Ball,<br />

getting asked by Neville, <strong>and</strong> then <strong>Harry</strong>, the maze, <strong>and</strong> seeing <strong>Harry</strong> drag Cedric's body out of it.<br />

Fourth year, getting over her crush on <strong>Harry</strong>, The DA, Umbridge, Fred <strong>and</strong> George leaving, Quidditch,<br />

<strong>and</strong> the Ministry. Fifth year, slowly falling for <strong>Harry</strong> all over again, people finally believing Voldemort<br />

was back, <strong>Harry</strong>'s odd Lessons with Dumbledore, but for her, relatively calm, except for the battle at<br />

the end of the year.<br />

Then there was sixth year, the year of the Death Eaters as most of the school had come to call it. Her<br />

sixth year she had restarted the DA to defend the school from within, along with Neville, Luna <strong>and</strong> a<br />

h<strong>and</strong>ful of others she did all she could to keep the Death Eaters' influence to a minimum, <strong>and</strong> had<br />

sustained horrible punishment for it; that year had also been filled with dread <strong>and</strong> worry for <strong>Harry</strong>,<br />

Hermione <strong>and</strong> her brother. Then her family went into hiding <strong>and</strong> Luna got taken <strong>and</strong> Neville went into<br />

hiding; <strong>and</strong> finally <strong>Harry</strong> coming back, the DA, along with the Order <strong>and</strong> a bunch of others fighting<br />

against Voldemort <strong>and</strong> his Death Eaters, <strong>and</strong> winning; <strong>Harry</strong> killing Voldemort <strong>and</strong> the war being all<br />

but over…the death of Fred. Then seventh year, the year she <strong>and</strong> <strong>Harry</strong> had finally come to realize just<br />

how perfect they were for each other, how they couldn't live with out each other; the problems with the<br />

Castle, <strong>and</strong> all the other little things. And now, an offer to play for the Hollyhead Harpies, her favorite<br />

team since she was little, <strong>and</strong> she was going to marry <strong>Harry</strong>, the only man she had ever really loved.<br />

As Ginny finished her reflection of the last 7 years she realized just how much her life had been shaped<br />

by <strong>Harry</strong>, or by what he had to do. And just how much <strong>Harry</strong>'s destiny had shaped their relationship.<br />

She had had a childhood crush on him because he had defeated Voldemort, <strong>and</strong> then, after she learned<br />

that he was supposed to be the one to kill Voldemort, she had started to fall for him again. She couldn't<br />

wonder if she had a hero complex. "<strong>Harry</strong>, do you think we'd be together if Voldemort had never<br />

attacked your parents, or if you hadn't been destined to kill him?" Ginny couldn't help asking.<br />

<strong>Harry</strong> stopped walking abruptly <strong>and</strong> looked down at Ginny, "Gin, I think that no matter what, we would<br />

have ended up together. If Voldemort hadn't killed my parents I still would have come to Hogwarts, I<br />

would have eventually become friends with your brother <strong>and</strong> noticed his incredibly hot sister, <strong>and</strong> then<br />

fallen in love with her. We may not have had as much fun as we did, but I think we would have made<br />

up for it some how." <strong>Harry</strong> smiled <strong>and</strong> kissed Ginny softly, "<strong>and</strong> there's no one I'd rather be with.<br />

Ginny, I love you with all my heart; <strong>and</strong> I know that we are meant for each other."<br />

"I love you too <strong>Harry</strong>," said Ginny, a tear in her eye. She loved it when <strong>Harry</strong> got really passionate<br />

about something. Be it catching the rest of the Death Eaters, Quidditch, sex or their relationship, the<br />

fire that burned in his eyes was one of the most beautiful things she could imagine.<br />

Just before they entered the Great Hall for breakfast <strong>Harry</strong> stopped Ginny. "I have an idea," he said, a<br />

devious look in his eye.<br />

"Alright, I'll permit it," said Ginny jokingly.
