Agency staff reviewed the procurement and
financial management guidelines and code of
practice, and the Companies Office adopted the
following procurement policy.
Purchases are being based on:
• Careful consideration of the good’s, material’s
or service’s impact on the environment,
economy and human health and well-being.
• Consideration of market factors, such as
specifications, equality, delivery date, and
price of the goods, material or service; and
• Preference being given to the purchase
of environmentally preferable goods and
materials whenever they perform satisfactorily
and are available at a reasonable price.
• Participating in government wide recycling
plan.

Any disclosures of wrongdoing received by
the Companies Office pursuant to The Public
Interest Disclosure (Whistleblowers Protection)
Act will be reported in the Annual Report of the
Department of Family Services and Consumer
