Chapter 16: Section 1 (new sixth paragraph)
Each AKC Breed Parent Specialty Club shall have one designated Parent Club National Specialty show per year. All
others shall be termed a Parent Club Specialty show.
Unless the Parent Club, in its Application to the AKC to hold its National Specialty, chooses to exclude the following
award: At the National Specialty the dog designated Reserve Winners Dog and the bitch designated Reserve Winners
Bitch will be awarded a three-point major, provided that the number of dogs competing in the regular classes of the
Reserve Winner's sex totals at least twice the number required for a five point major, in the region in which the vent is held.
No major for Reserve Winners shall be given based upon an award of Best of Winners. In counting the number of eligible
dogs in competition, a dog that is disqualified, or that is dismissed, excused or ordered from the ring by the judge, or
from which all awards are withheld, shall not be included.

Non-Regular Classes Involving Single Dog Entries
NR1.08100.15000. Veteran Classes - Class for dogs & class for bitches seven (7) years and over. Veterans may be spayed or
neutered. Winners are eligible to compete in Best of Breed Competition if undefeated in any other class at this show.
00900. Best of Breed Competition
NR2.24400. Parade of Titleholders - For AKC registered dog and bitch titleholders. Titleholders not entered in a Regular or Non-
Regular Class may be entered for Exhibition Only in the Parade of Titleholders. The entry MUST have PARADE on it. A brief
resume (space provided elsewhere in the premium list) should be included. Participating entrants will receive a Rosette with
their name imprinted on it.
Non-Regular Classes Involving Multiple Dog Entries
NR2.09100. Stud Dog Class - For Stud Dogs and at least two but not more than four of their Get. It is not necessary that the Get be
under the same ownership as that of the Stud Dog. The Stud Dog may be entered in one of the Regular Classes or, if a Champion
of Record, in Best of Breed competition, but must be entered in the Stud Dog class. The Get must be entered in one of the Regular
Classes or, if a Champion of Record, in Best of Breed competition. The Stud Dog shall be considered one entry and requires one
entry fee – this being the regular fee plus the additional class fee, if the Stud Dog is entered in another class. The Stud Dog must be
shown in the ring with the Get. The class will be judged based on the merits of the Get. While the merits of the Stud Dog are
not to be considered in the placement of the entry, the Stud Dog must be examined to determine if it has a condition that would
require its disqualification or excused under the dog show rules, AKC policy, or the standard of the breed.
NR2.09200. Brood Bitch Class - Same as for Stud Dog except substitute Brood Bitch for Stud Dog and Produce for Get.
NR2.09300. Brace Class - (For two dogs of the same breed and must have at least one common owner and presented by a
maximum of two handlers.) The dogs comprising a Brace MUST be named at the time of entry. If a dog, which is to be part of
a Brace is not entered in another class, it must be entered for "Brace Class Only'. In making entries for "Brace Class Only'; full
particulars must be given for each dog on individual, regular entry forms. An entry form for a dog entered in another class and
entered as a part of a Brace MUST be marked accordingly in the space provided for Additional Classes, "Brace Class”. If more
than one brace is entered by the same owner, the dogs comprising EACH Brace must be so designated, "Brace No 1”; "Brace
No 2”; etc. A separate entry form must be submitted for each dog.
NR2.31190. Breeder’s Class - The Breeder must be present to accept the award. Breeder’s entry shall consist of 3 to 5 Tibetan
Terriers with at least one breeder in common. All of the 3 to 5 Tibetan Terriers in the Breeder’s entry must be entered in another
regular or non-regular class at the National Specialty (Rally, Obedience, Agility, Breed, Sweepstakes, Veteran Sweepstakes,
Futurity). The 3 to 5 Tibetan Terriers that are exhibited in the Breeder’s Class must represent more than one litter and cannot all
have identical parentage. The breeder is not required to personally exhibit any of the Tibetan Terriers in his/her entry. Each Tibetan
Terrier must have its own exhibitor/handler.
As the judge's decision in the Non-Regular Classes involving Multiple Dog Entries will be based on the merits of more than one
dog or bitch, no one of the dogs or bitches making up the entry judged first in the class will be eligible to compete for Best of
Breed by virtue of having won these classes.

00200. FUTURITY

TTCA Futurity Rules
I. EXPLANATION OF EVENT:
Futurity is an annual event sponsored by the TTCA to encourage the breeding of those Tibetan Terriers that best
exemplify the Standard of the breed. It is to honor the breeder of those dogs as they point the way to the future
of the breed. The owner is also to be recognized for their contribution to the development of inherited possibilities.
II. GENERAL GUIDELINES:
A. Correct and timely nominations of both the litter and the individual dog are required for eligibility.
B. Nomination forms may be secured from the Futurity Chairman or TTCA Secretary
C. Futurity will be held in conjunction with the National Specialty. An eligible dog may only compete once in Futurity.

D. All undistributed awards are the property of TTCA
E. All dogs must be handled by breeder, owner or a member of their immediate household.
III. NOMINATION OF A LITTER:
A. Must be by a breeder or co-breeder who is a member in good standing of TTCA within 90 days of whelping.
Postmark on the envelope transmitting nomination establishes the date of nomination. A SASE must be enclosed
with the Nomination Form. An acknowledgement will be returned within 30 days of application postmark. If this
acknowledgement is not received within 30 days of application, you have 14 days to file an appeal. This appeal
must contain all information and dates pertaining to nomination of the litter and be sent via Certified Mail Return
Receipt Requested to the National Show Chair, with copy to the Futurity Chair. Decision of the National Show
Chair is final. SASE must be included with an appeal.
B. Fee is $25.00
IV. FUTURITY ENTRY:
A. The dog must be entered and compete in one of the Regular Classes or Non-Regular Classes. The Futurity
entry must be indicated as an additional class. Entry fee is $28.00.
V. CLASS DIVISION:
All Futurity entries will be divided by sex and judged in the following classes:
10100- Puppy Dogs, 10900. 6 months & under 9 months
10100- Puppy Dogs, 11000. 9 months & under 12 months
10100- Puppy Dogs, 11400- 12 months & under 15 months
(Same Classes for Bitches)
The winning puppy in each class will compete for Best Futurity Puppy.
10200- Junior Dogs, 11500- 15 months & under 18 months
10200- Junior Dogs, 11600- 18 months & under 24 months
(Same Classes for Bitches)
The winning Junior in each class will compete for Best Futurity Junior.
11330- Adult Dogs, 48830- 24 months & under 48 months
11330- Adult Dogs, 48840- 48 months & over
(Same Classes for Bitches)
The winning Adult in each class will compete for Best Futurity Adult.
The BBSP, BBSJ, BBSA will compete for Grand Futurity Winner.
VI. DIVISION OF MONIES:
A. Litter Nomination fees are divided as follows:
40% Grand Futurity Winner
60% Divided among Best Adult, Best Junior and Best Puppy. The individual prizes will be divided 50% to the .
breeder and 50% to the owner.
B. Entry Fees, 30% retained for expenses.
The remaining 70% will be divided as follows:
5% Grand Futurity Winner 75% Placements in the 14 classes
5% Best Futurity Adult 40% to First Placements
5% Best Futurity Junior 30% to Second Placements
5% Best Futurity Puppy 20% to Third Placement
5% Rosettes and Ribbons 10% to Fourth Placements
The individual prizes will be divided 50% to the breeder and 50% to the owner.
VII. TROPHIES AND RIBBONS:
A. The TTCA will offer the Alice Murphy Memorial Trophy to the Breeder of the Grand Futurity Winner. The trophy
will remain in the possession of the TTCA. A commemorative will be provided to the breeder of the Grand
Futurity Winner.
B. A Rosette will be provided for the Best Futurity Puppy, Best Futurity Junior, Best Futurity Adult and Grand Futurity
Winner.
C. Other Trophies and Rosettes may be awarded at the discretion of the National Show Committee.

VIII. JUDGES:
A. Judges must be members in good standing of the Tibetan Terrier Club of America. They are to be nominated
by the membership of the TTCA and elected by written ballot of the membership of the TTCA. The candidate who
is second in the balloting shall be designated Alternate Judge should the first nominee be unable to judge.
B. Anyone who has accepted an assignment to judge Futurity in the past 3 years is ineligible to be nominated.
C. Futurity judges are personally responsible for all expenses incurred in such an assignment.
D. A judge must be nominated by three TTCA members on the Futurity Nomination Form.
E. Each nominee must sign a statement that if elected, neither s/he nor any person residing in the same household
will exhibit or act as agent or handler in Futurity or in the Regular Classes of the show; and dogs owned wholly
or in part by the nominee or any member of the nominee’s household shall be ineligible to be entered in Futurity
or in the Regular Classes.

Sweepstakes is open to all Tibetan Terriers who are 6 months & under 18 months of age on the day of the show & are
either owner or amateur handled. Professional handlers, their employees and those who show dogs for monetary gain
may not show in Sweepstakes unless they own, co-own, or bred the dog or are members of the immediate family. Dogs
shown in Sweepstakes must be entered in a Regular Specialty Class at the regular entry fee. Entries shall be made
at the same time, on the same entry form as for Regular Classes. Indicate your Sweepstakes Class and age division
in the space for "Additional Classes". Entry fee is $20.00.

without fees will not be accepted. Acknowledgement of entries will be made as soon as practicable with tickets and/or
identification cards. The person accompanying a dog must show tickets of admission and identification before the dog will be
received. Should such acknowledgement not be received by the exhibitor within a reasonable time, please verify your
entry with the MB-F Office in North Carolina.

by a cover sheet stating the number of pages, what shows and how many dogs per show. Visa/Mastercard/Discover/American
Express number and expiration date, as well as the printed cardholder’s name and address must be included on cover sheet.
Visa/Mastercard/Discover/American Express number, expiration date, cardholder’s name must appear on each entry. Fax
entries must be received by the closing hour/date. Fax fee: $4.50 per entry in addition to entry fee. All credit card entries,
regardless of method submitted, are processed through the Fax program and are charged the $4.50 administrative fee. This
Fax Fee is subject to change without notice.
Make All Checks and Money Orders payable to MB-F, Inc. CANADIAN exhibitors must make fees payable in U.S. FUNDS. When
you provide a check as payment, you authorize us to either use information from your check to make a one-time electronic
fund transfer from your account or to process the payment as a check. Please mail checks or money orders with entries.
Superintendent assumes no responsibility for cash sent through the mail. Tabulate carefully. Due to cost of processing, no
refunds $4.00 and under will be made.
An AKC Recording Fee of $.50 first entry only and an AKC Event Service Fee of $3.00 per entry will be required for each
dog entered at any Licensed or Member Club Show, Obedience Trial or Tracking Test. An AKC Recording Fee of $3.50
will be required for each first entry and $3.00 each additional entry in any Licensed or Member Club Rally Trial. All
Recording and Event Service Fees are paid to the American Kennel Club. (There is no Recording Fee or Event Service Fee
for Junior Showmanship, Sweepstakes, Futurities, Brace/Team, Multi-Dog Classes or Special Attractions.)
No Entry shall be made and no entry shall be accepted which specifies any conditions as to its acceptance.
Entry Fees shall not be refunded in the event that a dog is absent, disqualified, excused by Veterinarian or Judge, or barred from
competition by action of the Event Committee. If because of riots, wars, strikes, civil disturbances, national emergencies, health
emergencies, and the dictates of law enforcement or of the owner(s) of the grounds and/or facilities or other acts beyond the
control of the management it is impossible to open or to complete the event, no refund of entry fee will be made. Extreme weather
conditions, such as, but not limited to snow storms, hurricanes, lightning, extreme heat, heavy rains, or other circumstances
including, but not limited to, the condition of the facilities or grounds and/or the ingress and egress from the grounds, must be
considered for the health and safety of the dogs, exhibitors and spectators. The well-being of dogs, exhibitors and spectators
is of paramount importance and, in the event it is necessary to cancel or stop the event before completion, no refund of entry
fee will be made. To find out about any AKC event cancellations call the AKC Event Cancellation Hotline (877) 252-3229.
Post Dated Checks, Returned Checks and Declined Credit Cards do not constitute a valid entry fee. The Superintendent will
add a collection fee to the amount of each returned check or declined card. Subsequent returned checks or declined cards
from the same exhibitors may result in their being put on a CASH ONLY basis.
No Refund for Duplicate Entries. Every effort to find all duplicate entries will be made; however, if entry has been processed,
no refund will be made. An Administrative Fee of $2.00 will be charged or withheld from refunds for duplicate entries.
An Administrative Fee of $2.00 will be withheld from all refunds for entries cancelled prior to the closing of entries.
Errors on Entry Blanks. Owners are responsible for errors in making out entry forms, whoever may make such errors, and no
entry fee will be refunded in event of such errors or cancellation of entries after the published closing date.
Each Owner and Agent listed on the entry form and/or individual responsible for the dog at a show is bound by the Certification
and Agreement on the front and back of the entry form regardless of who may have completed & submitted the entry form.
As specified in Chapter 12, Section 4 of the AKC Rules Applying to Dog Shows, information contained on the entry form is
required to be published in the club’s show catalog. This information is also subject to publication in other media.
Dogs May Arrive any time prior to their scheduled time of judging. Dogs not required for further judging will be excused.
Judges Will Not Wait for Any Dog Holding Up a Class. Owners or agents alone are responsible for the presence of their dogs
in the judging ring when their classes are called to be judged.
All Dogs Present must be held on leash or confined to their crates except when being judged or when in the exercising ring.
Class Cash Prizes will be paid in the ring to the person showing the dog. Claims for prize money must be made in the ring before
the judging of that breed is over, and the Superintendent’s Office advised at once. The Superintendents and show-giving Club
disclaim any liability for cash prizes after the judging of the breed is over.
No gasoline or diesel generators are permitted inside any building or within 100 feet of any tent in which this dog show is conducted.

TTCA 2013 National Specialty

Book early and be sure to mention the TTCA to receive the special $82.00 room rate,
which includes a hot breakfast buffet. There is a $25.00 refundable deposit for guests
with dogs. There is a link to the hotel website on the TTCA Website: ttca-online.org.
No dogs allowed in hotel restaurants. RV parking is $40.00 per night. Dogs must be
crated or out of the room for cleaning and must be crated when occupants leave them
in the room. Please place the dog crates on plastic.
*Hotel towels are not to be used to dry the dogs. Bathing space for dogs will be provided
by the hotel.
Grooming will be in two areas:
Ballroom – Reserved for exhibitors taking up no more space than 1 normal-sized dolly
stacked with 1-4 crates and one grooming table. This allows for the most people to be
in the ballroom. The Event Committee reserves the right to rearrange the grooming
areas. Greater South Tibetan Terrier Club members will not set up in the ballroom,
leaving space for our visitors. They will set up in the Jamestown Room.
Jamestown Room will accommodate the remaining exhibitors.
All guest rooms, meeting spaces and the ballroom (grooming area) must be kept clean
and dog supplies put away when not in use. In the grooming areas, the following rules
apply:
1) Crates must be stacked and spaced compactly
2) Space must be kept sanitary, no x-pens in the building
3) Any dogs that are overly disruptive must be quieted or removed from the area.
All dog exercise and dog walking areas must be kept clean and sanitary. You MUST
clean up after your dog, both inside and outside. Bags will be provided.
Star Dogs
How to make your contribution to Star Dogs for the
AKC Canine Health Foundation.
By including an extra dollar with your entry fee and indicating with a star by your
dog’s name on the entry form, the show superintendent will be glad to forward
the donation for you. With your participation, you and your dog will receive
recognition by being listed in a special donors’ ad in the show catalog, along
with a star notation (★) in the on-line show results.

The TTCA requires dogs to be crated when unattended in the National Specialty hotel rooms and the
rooms to be left in the same condition as when first occupied. Failure to abide by these rules will result
in those individuals' names being given to future hotels with the intent of being refused occupancy.

AGREEMENT
In consideration of the acceptance of this entry and of the holding of this event and of the opportunity to have the
dog judged and to win prizes, ribbons, or trophies, I (we) agree to hold the AKC, the event-giving club, their members,
and any provider of services that are necessary to hold this event and any employees or volunteers of the aforementioned
parties, and any AKC approved judge, judging at this event, harmless from any claim for loss or injury which may
be alleged to have been caused directly or indirectly to any person or thing by the act of this dog while in or about the
event premises or grounds or near any entrance thereto, and I (we) personally assume all responsibility and liability for
any such claim; and I (we) further agree to hold the aforementioned parties harmless from any claim for loss, injury or
damage to this dog.
Additionally, I (we) hereby assume the sole responsibility for and agree to indemnify, defend and save the aforementioned
parties harmless from any and all loss and expense (including legal fees) by reason of the liability imposed by law upon
any of the aforementioned parties for damage because of bodily injuries, including death at any time resulting therefrom,
sustained by any person or persons, including myself (ourselves), or on account of damage to property, arising out of or
in consequence of my (our) participation in this event, however such, injuries, death or property damage may be caused,
and whether or not the same may have been caused or may be alleged to have been caused by the negligence of the
aforementioned parties or any of their employees, agents, or any other persons. I (WE) AGREE THAT ANY CAUSE OF
ACTION, CONTROVERSY OR CLAIM ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO THE ENTRY, EXHIBITION OR ATTEN-
DANCE AT THE EVENT BETWEEN THE AKC AND THE EVENT-GIVING CLUB (UNLESS OTHERWISE STATED
IN ITS PREMIUM LIST) AND MYSELF (OURSELVES) OR AS TO THE CONSTRUCTION, INTERPRETATION AND
EFFECT OF THIS AGREEMENT SHALL BE SETTLED BY ARBITRATION PURSUANT TO THE APPLICABLE
RULES OF THE AMERICAN ARBITRATION ASSOCIATION. HOWEVER, PRIOR TO ARBITRATION ALL APPLICA-
BLE AKC BYLAWS, RULES, REGULATIONS AND PROCEDURES MUST FIRST BE FOLLOWED AS SET FORTH
IN THE AKC CHARTER AND BYLAWS, RULES, REGULATIONS, PUBLISHED POLICIES AND GUIDELINES.
INSTRUCTIONS
1. (Variety) if you are entering a dog of breed in which there are varieties for show purposes, please designate the particular
variety you are entering, i.e., Cocker Spaniel (solid color black, ASCOB, parti-color), Beagles (not exceeding 13
in., over 13 in. but not exceeding 15 in.), Dachshunds (longhaired, smooth, wirehaired), Collies (rough, smooth), Bull
Terriers (colored, white), Manchester Terriers (standard, toy), Chihuahuas (smooth coat, long coat), English Toy Spaniels
(King Charles and Ruby, Blenheim and Prince Charles), Poodles (toy, miniature, standard).
2. The following categories of dogs may be entered and shown in Best of Breed competition: Dogs that are Champions
of Record and dogs which, according to their owners’ records, have completed the requirements for a championship, but
to a period of 90 days from the date of the show where the dog completed the requirements for a championship.

4. A dog must be entered in the name of the person who actually owned it at the time entries for an event closed. If a
registered dog has been acquired by a new owner it must be entered in the name of its new owner in any event for which
indicating that the dog is recorded in his/her name. State on entry form whether transfer application has been mailed to
the AKC. (For complete rules, refer to Chapter 11, Section 3.)
5. Mixed Breed dogs entering classes for Agility, Obedience, and Rally trials should mark Breed as “All-American
Dog/Mixed Breed.” Sire and Dam information shall remain blank for mixed breed entrants.
