Incorporating technological changes can be a daunting challenge requiring a high level of specialisation and
the adequate means. Our Group offers a highly-qualified human team and the most advanced technical backup
posible for:
• Optimising processes: We use powerful prediction and optimisation techniques based on several criteria
that were successfully applied to signal-processing problems and system configuration and adjustment to
attain performance requirements. Some of our past particular domains of applications are:
- Optimisation of traffic flow management, applied to roads, airport surface operations, etc.
- Designing of surveillance systems for tracking mobiles with different sensors (video, radar, mini-radar
networks, etc.)
- Tuning of video-based identification for vehicles.
• Extracting implicit behaviours from intelligent data analysis: We have a great deal of expertise in
predicting relationships between different types of variables, extracting trends and building useful models,
through automated techniques of intelligent data analysis. We have applied these techniques to the following
cases:
- Implementation of systems for automatic data acquisition and analysis. Starting from the analysis of
input-output relationships for a given (manual) system, we provide an automatic system with the same
functionality (it produces the same outputs as the corresponding inputs in the original system).
- Extraction of rules for data association in complex tracking systems (video and high-resolution radar).
- Extraction of rules to detect and classify situations, for instance conflicts on airpor surface.
- Classification of vehicles (according to the size, type, technical features, etc.), analysing video images
or surface radar data.
