Michael Callahan, MD, St.Vincent Gynecologic Oncology<br />

Recommended Current <strong>Cancer</strong> Screening Guidelines—Gynecologic<br />

Dr. Callahan received his medical degree from DePauw University in Greencastle, Ind., where he played varsity<br />

football and earned Academic All-American honors. He graduated from Indiana University School of Medicine<br />

as a member of the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society. Dr. Callahan trained in obstetrics and<br />

gynecology at St.Vincent Indianapolis Hospital and completed a fellowship in gynecologic oncology at Brigham<br />

and Women’s Hospital/Harvard Medical School in Bos<strong>to</strong>n, where he was recognized for research achievement<br />

by the New England Association of Gynecologic Oncologists. Dr. Callahan practices the full spectrum of<br />

gynecologic oncology, with special interests in gestational trophoblastic diseases, hereditary predisposition,<br />

and the surgical and chemotherapeutic management of early and advanced gynecologic cancers, including<br />

intraperi<strong>to</strong>neal chemotherapy.<br />

Mark Lybik, MD, Northside Gastroenterology<br />

Mark Lybik, MD, is a board certified gastroenterologist at Northside Gastroenterology. Dr. Lybik received his<br />

medical degree from Wayne State University School of Medicine. He completed his internal medicine residency at<br />

the University of Minnesota and his GI fellowship at Wayne State University. He has been named one of the Top<br />

Doc<strong>to</strong>rs in Gastroenterology by Indianapolis Monthly magazine and also was listed in the Guide <strong>to</strong> America’s<br />

Top Physicians. He is a member of the American Gastroenterological Association and the American Society of<br />

Gastrointestinal Endoscopists.<br />

Dawn McIlvried, MS, CGC, LGC<br />

<strong>Cancer</strong> Genetics Risk Assessment<br />

Dawn McIlvried, MS, CGC, LGC, is a certified and licensed genetic counselor who holds a master’s degree in<br />

genetic counseling. After graduating from the Indiana University Genetic Counseling Program, she practiced<br />

genetic counseling at the University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB) in preconception, prenatal, pediatric<br />

and cancer genetics. Dawn joined St.Vincent <strong>Cancer</strong> Care’s Genetic Risk Assessment Program in 2008. She<br />

participates in several research and professional projects in the field of cancer genetic counseling and genetic<br />

testing. Dawn serves as adjunct assistant professor of medical and molecular genetics at the Indiana University<br />

School of Medicine.<br />

Richard Freeman, MD<br />

Coordinated Multidisciplinary <strong>Cancer</strong> Care<br />

Richard Freeman, MD, serves as medical direc<strong>to</strong>r of St.Vincent <strong>Cancer</strong> Care and as vice chairman of<br />

cardiothoracic surgery at St.Vincent Indianapolis Hospital. Dr. Freeman graduated with honors from Texas<br />

Christian University and the Tufts University School of Medicine. He completed residencies in general surgery<br />

and cardiothoracic surgery as well as a research fellowship before entering practice in Indianapolis. Dr. Freeman<br />

is a specialist in thoracic and cardiovascular surgery with special interest in surgery of the lungs, trachea,<br />

esophagus, mediastinum, chest wall and pleura for cancer and benign conditions. He is board certified by the<br />

American Board of Thoracic Surgery and the American Board of Surgery. He has been named a Top Doc<strong>to</strong>r by<br />

Indianapolis Monthly magazine and U.S. News & World Report.<br />

Melissa Andres, RN, BSN, OCN, CBON-C<br />

Patient Navigation across the Care Continuum<br />

Melissa (Missy) Andres, RN, BSN, OCN, CBON-C, is a certified oncology nurse and manager of patient navigation<br />

at St.Vincent <strong>Cancer</strong> Care. She graduated from Indiana University in 1995 and has worked as a staff nurse,<br />

clinical educa<strong>to</strong>r, patient naviga<strong>to</strong>r and manager. Missy participates in several national organizations. She was a<br />

national trainer for the Oncology Nursing Society Chemotherapy and Biotherapy class and has served as a board<br />

member of the Central Indiana Oncology Nursing Society for five years.<br />

Natasha Tomlinson, MD<br />

Palliative Care: Enhancing Quality of Life<br />

Natasha Tomlinson, MD, serves as associate medical direc<strong>to</strong>r of hospice and as clinical medical direc<strong>to</strong>r of the<br />

adult supportive care team at St.Vincent Indianapolis Hospital. A graduate of the University of Notre Dame and<br />

the Indiana University School of Medicine, Dr. Tomlinson completed her residency at Indiana University and was a<br />

palliative medicine fellow at the William Randolph Hearst Foundation. She is a member of the American College<br />

of Physicians and the American Academy of Hospice and Palliative Medicine.
