Michael Callahan, MD, St.Vincent Gynecologic Oncology
Recommended Current Cancer Screening Guidelines—Gynecologic
Dr. Callahan received his medical degree from DePauw University in Greencastle, Ind., where he played varsity
football and earned Academic All-American honors. He graduated from Indiana University School of Medicine
as a member of the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society. Dr. Callahan trained in obstetrics and
gynecology at St.Vincent Indianapolis Hospital and completed a fellowship in gynecologic oncology at Brigham
and Women’s Hospital/Harvard Medical School in Boston, where he was recognized for research achievement
by the New England Association of Gynecologic Oncologists. Dr. Callahan practices the full spectrum of
gynecologic oncology, with special interests in gestational trophoblastic diseases, hereditary predisposition,
and the surgical and chemotherapeutic management of early and advanced gynecologic cancers, including
intraperitoneal chemotherapy.
Mark Lybik, MD, Northside Gastroenterology

Mark Lybik, MD, is a board certified gastroenterologist at Northside Gastroenterology. Dr. Lybik received his
medical degree from Wayne State University School of Medicine. He completed his internal medicine residency at
the University of Minnesota and his GI fellowship at Wayne State University. He has been named one of the Top
Doctors in Gastroenterology by Indianapolis Monthly magazine and also was listed in the Guide to America’s
Top Physicians. He is a member of the American Gastroenterological Association and the American Society of
Gastrointestinal Endoscopists.
Dawn McIlvried, MS, CGC, LGC
Cancer Genetics Risk Assessment
Dawn McIlvried, MS, CGC, LGC, is a certified and licensed genetic counselor who holds a master’s degree in
genetic counseling. After graduating from the Indiana University Genetic Counseling Program, she practiced
genetic counseling at the University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB) in preconception, prenatal, pediatric
and cancer genetics. Dawn joined St.Vincent Cancer Care’s Genetic Risk Assessment Program in 2008. She
participates in several research and professional projects in the field of cancer genetic counseling and genetic
testing. Dawn serves as adjunct assistant professor of medical and molecular genetics at the Indiana University
School of Medicine.
Richard Freeman, MD
Coordinated Multidisciplinary Cancer Care
Richard Freeman, MD, serves as medical director of St.Vincent Cancer Care and as vice chairman of
cardiothoracic surgery at St.Vincent Indianapolis Hospital. Dr. Freeman graduated with honors from Texas
Christian University and the Tufts University School of Medicine. He completed residencies in general surgery
and cardiothoracic surgery as well as a research fellowship before entering practice in Indianapolis. Dr. Freeman
is a specialist in thoracic and cardiovascular surgery with special interest in surgery of the lungs, trachea,
esophagus, mediastinum, chest wall and pleura for cancer and benign conditions. He is board certified by the
American Board of Thoracic Surgery and the American Board of Surgery. He has been named a Top Doctor by
Indianapolis Monthly magazine and U.S. News & World Report.
Melissa Andres, RN, BSN, OCN, CBON-C
Patient Navigation across the Care Continuum
Melissa (Missy) Andres, RN, BSN, OCN, CBON-C, is a certified oncology nurse and manager of patient navigation
at St.Vincent Cancer Care. She graduated from Indiana University in 1995 and has worked as a staff nurse,
clinical educator, patient navigator and manager. Missy participates in several national organizations. She was a
national trainer for the Oncology Nursing Society Chemotherapy and Biotherapy class and has served as a board
member of the Central Indiana Oncology Nursing Society for five years.
Natasha Tomlinson, MD
Palliative Care: Enhancing Quality of Life
Natasha Tomlinson, MD, serves as associate medical director of hospice and as clinical medical director of the
adult supportive care team at St.Vincent Indianapolis Hospital. A graduate of the University of Notre Dame and
the Indiana University School of Medicine, Dr. Tomlinson completed her residency at Indiana University and was a
palliative medicine fellow at the William Randolph Hearst Foundation. She is a member of the American College
of Physicians and the American Academy of Hospice and Palliative Medicine.
