Margaret Cuomo, MD
Author, A World Without Cancer
When it comes to tackling cancer and eradicating it for good, Margaret Cuomo, MD, has set forth a plan to change
the status quo. She has experienced the loss of many friends and members of her family to cancer and has
observed firsthand the issues related to current treatment methods. Recognizing the lack of significant progress
in the prevention of cancer, she wrote A World Without Cancer, which reveals how profit, politics and personal
ambition have hindered progress in cancer research and in cancer prevention. The book is a call to action that
empowers all stakeholders—the pharmaceutical industry, the government, physicians and all concerned
Americans—to transform the way we view and fight cancer.
