Introduction
The club has a number of Non Member users requiring Boat Yard gate access. The gate is located
at the entrance to the Boat Yard alongside the Concessions Building. The east side of the gate is
operational via key access.
Policy
Club Members
As defined by membership category, Senior and Intermediate Membership status is required for
automatic Boat Yard access. These members must register at SYC Reception and follow the
procedure outlined :
1. Obtain Yard Induction Kit and make appointment for Induction with SYC Reception. SYC staff
member will sign off on completion.
2. Complete IN FULL Launch Ramp Access form.
3. Submit to SYC Reception both forms above, and copies of relevant boat Insurance.
4. Details recorded on member account and key adjusted for Boat Yard access. For key access to
remain at this level the member must ensure all details are current and valid.
Emergency Service Providers
As per the clubs ERP, Sandringham Police, Water Police and the Metropolitan Fire Brigade (Highett)
all have electronic key access to the Boat Yard gate.
Skilled Maritime who are employed to provide security patrols of the premises on a nightly basis also
have Boat Yard access.
1. Contact SYC Facilities Manager who will organise Private Yard Induction and Keys.

Contractors (Annual & Casual) & On Site Tenants
All annual and casual registered Contractors are eligible for Boat Yard access.
All contractors must complete the following procedure:
1. Obtain Yard Induction Kit and make appointment for Induction with SYC Reception. SYC staff
member will sign off on completion.
2. Submit above to SYC Reception and:
3. Casual Contractors complete Contractor Key Deposit Form.
Pay $50 key deposit to obtain preset Contractor Key.
Deposit will be refunded on return of key.
4. Annual Contractors member account updated with details and member key adjusted for Boat Yard
access. For key to remain at this level the contractor must ensure all details are current and valid.
There are thirteen angle parking bays positioned at the rear of the Concessions Building inside the
Boat Yard gate for use by the clubs authorized tenants.
Junior Member Parents
Parents of Junior members requiring yard access for the sole purpose of dropping off their junior
member children and/or boats, can do so by registering a request at SYC:
1. Submit completed Launch Ramp Access Form at SYC Reception for Approval.
2. On approval from the CEO, obtain Yard Induction Kit and make appointment for induction with SYC
Reception. SYC staff member to sign off on completion
3. Submit to SYC Reception both forms above, relevant insurance and $50.00 Club Key payment,
4. Details recorded and Member key allocated to the Junior member. For key access to remain at this
level the parent must ensure all details are current and valid.
5. Key payment will be refunded in full on return of the Club key.
