City of Newton Ordinance Section 23-52 requires that each petition for grant of location be subinitted to
the Public Worlts Department for a preliminary review before the applicant files the petition with the
Board of Aldermeii. Tlle conimeiits of the Public Works Cominissioiier will be part of the record
sub~iiitted to the Board of Alderillen. Upon filing with the Board of Aldermen, the petition w~ll be
scheduled for a public hearing before the Public Facilit~es Cominittee of the Board of Aldern~en. The
petitioner is responsible for insuring that the petition is complete and all required materials are iia
