On May 17, 2010 at approximately 4:00 p.m., Erick Garcia stopped at the Family Store located at 391 W.<br />

Belleview to make a purchase. As he was entering the store he was confronted by Jose and Rafael<br />

Gonzalez, where they had a verbal argument. During the confrontation Rafael Gonzalez produced a small<br />

handgun and shot Mr. Garcia. Mr. Garcia later succumbed to his injuries. Jose and Rafael Gonzalez fled<br />

the area on foot. Jose was ultimately located and Rafael is still outstanding.<br />

Rafael Gonzalez was positively identified by evidence located at the crime scene, along with positive<br />

identification from multiple witnesses. Investigators have obtained a no bail arrest warrant for homicide<br />

for Rafael Gonzalez. Anyone with any information as to the whereabouts of Rafael Gonzalez is urged to<br />

WANTED FOR MURDER<br />

Adrian Anthony Ortiz<br />

Birth Date 5/17/89<br />

5’7”, 165 pounds<br />

On April 21, 2009 at approximately 10:52 PM, <strong>Porterville</strong> <strong>Police</strong> Officers were dispatched to the 1400<br />

block of W. Tomah Avenue for the report of a shooting that had just occurred. It was learned that a 22<br />

year old <strong>Porterville</strong> man had been shot once in the neck in his own home following an argument with the<br />

suspect Adrian Ortiz.<br />

Following the shooting Ortiz fled the area on foot and the victim was transported to Sierra View District<br />

Hospital. The victim was later transferred to Valley Medical Center in Fresno where he died from his<br />

injuries. The identity of the victim is being withheld pending notification of family. Adrian Ortiz was<br />

identified by witnesses as the suspected shooter in the investigation.<br />

Investigators are searching for Ortiz who is believed to be in the <strong>Porterville</strong> area. Adrian Ortiz is a known<br />

gang member with a substantial criminal history. The weapon is still outstanding and Ortiz is considered<br />

armed and dangerous.<br />

Salvador Villanueva<br />

On January 12, 2009, a felony warrant was issued for the arrest of Salvador Villanueva.<br />

Villanueva has been charged with four counts of child molestation with a child under the age of<br />

twelve and one count of exhibiting harmful material to a minor with the intent to seduce.<br />

The warrant was issued as a result of an investigation which was conducted after allegations<br />

were brought forward to the <strong>Porterville</strong> <strong>Police</strong> <strong>Department</strong>. It is believed that Villanueva is<br />

aware that he is wanted by police and is attempting to escape apprehension.<br />

Jose Raul Anguiano<br />

.On October 3, 2008, at approximately midnight detectives responded to 1089 W. Grand Avenue<br />

for a gunshot victim. The victim, Samuel Guzman, had been shot and later died at Sierra View<br />

District Hospital.<br />

An investigation into the murder of Mr. Guzman identified Jose Raul Anguiano as the suspect in<br />

this murder investigation. Jose Raul Anguiano has been identified as a member of a criminal<br />

street gang and it is believed that this homicide is gang related.<br />

Jose Raul Anguiano is wanted for murder and has an active felony warrant for his arrest. Jose<br />

Raul Anguiano should be considered armed and dangerous.<br />

Ramiro Ojeda<br />

On 7-9-95 at approximately 0225 hours a shooting occurred in the 100 block of East Walnut in<br />

which two victims were shot, one later died. Through the investigation the shooter in this crime<br />

was determined to be Ramiro Ojeda. He has been on the run since soon after the homicide and<br />

has not yet been apprehended. Ramiro Ojeda currently has an active warrant for murder. Ramiro<br />

Ojeda is brother to Armando Ojeda, who is also being sought for murder.<br />

16-07 at approximately 0232 hours an argument ensued in the parking lot of the Sunrise Handy<br />

Market, 415 W. Poplar, <strong>Porterville</strong>. The argument became physical and after a short scuffle, the suspect,<br />

Armando Ramon Ojeda retrieved a firearm from the trunk of his vehicle and fatally shot the two victims.<br />

Armando Ojeda currently has an active warrant for murder. Armand Ojeda is brother to Ramiro Ojeda,<br />

who is also being sought for murder.<br />
