1. Copyright assignment agreement<br />
I/We hereby assign world-wide copyright of the article named above (the Work) in all forms of media, whether now known or hereafter<br />
developed, to the publisher, Emerald. I/We understand that Emerald will act on my/our behalf to publish, reproduce, distribute and transmit the<br />
Work and will authorise other reputable third parties (such as document delivery services) to do the same, ensuring access to and maximum<br />
dissemination of the Work.<br />
This assignment of copyright to Emerald is done so on the understanding that permission from Emerald is not required for me/us to reproduce,<br />
republish or distribute copies of the Work in whole or in part. I/We will ensure that all such copies carry a notice of copyright ownership and<br />
reference to the original journal publication.<br />
Authors submitting articles to Emerald agree to the following:<br />

Copied and pasted FIGURES from the origination software into a blank Microsoft Word document, or saved and imported into a blank<br />

Submitted FIGURES in one of the following standard image formats: MS Word, MS PowerPoint, MS Excel, Illustrator or Freehand.<br />
Electronic figures created in other applications should be copied from the origination software and pasted into a blank MS Word<br />
document or saved and imported into a MS Word document. Acceptable standard image formats are: .pdf, .ai, .wmf and .eps. If you<br />
are unable to supply graphics in these formats then please ensure they are .tif, .jpeg, or .bmp at a resolution of at least 300dpi and at<br />
least 10cm wide.<br />
Submitted PHOTOGRAPHIC IMAGES electronically saved as .tif or .jpg files at a resolution of at of at least 300 dpi and be at least<br />
10 cm wide. Digital camera settings should be set at the highest resolution/quality possible.<br />
Provided high quality electronic files of all FIGURES, CHARTS AND SCREENSHOTS.<br />
Adhered to the WORDCOUNT limits as stated in the Author guidelines.<br />
9. Permissions checklist<br />
Please note that Emerald requires you to clear permission to re-use any material not created by you. Emerald is unable to<br />
publish your paper with permissions outstanding.<br />

Emerald is a member of the STM Association and participates in the reciprocal free exchange of material with other STM<br />
members. This may mean that, in some cases, authors do not need to clear permission for reuse of content. Authors should<br />
check the STM website to find participating publishers and follow STM’s permissions guidelines.<br />
Full and legible authors’ names and addresses are essential to ensure safe delivery of complimentary copies of the journal<br />
