JUDGING:<br />

RULES:<br />

The Colorado Timing System will be used with manual backup timing.<br />

Federation rules will govern except where O.I.A. rules take precedence. The meet<br />

referee will be in complete control of the swimming meet once the meet commences.<br />

ELIGIBILITY: Open to all eligible O.I.A. High School swimmers/divers who are enrolled in grades 9-12.<br />

QUALIFIYING TIMES: Please enter the best times for swimmers and best marks for divers. If there are no times<br />

or marks, the swimmer or diver will not be eligible to participate.<br />

ENTRY DEADLINE:<br />

Each swimmer is allowed to swim a maximum of 2 individual events and 2 relay events or<br />

1 individual event and 3 relay events. Each team may enter a maximum of 4 swimmers<br />

per individual event and 1 relay team per school per relay event. Diving counts as one<br />

individual event.<br />

<strong>Swimming</strong>: Monday, January 25, 2010 by 7:00 pm. E-mail master entry, and team<br />

roster must be received prior to this deadline to guarantee participation in the meet.<br />

WARMUPS:<br />

Please put a FAX number or personal phone number on your MASTER ENTRY SHEET.<br />

You will be faxed or contacted about your assigned warm-up time for swimming. A<br />

schedule will also be posted at the meet.<br />

OFFICIALS: <strong>Swimming</strong>: Each school should provide officials for timing to insure that the meet<br />

runs smoothly. Experience is not necessary.<br />

Each team that enters divers must provide 1 diving official.

TARP SET UP:<br />

All swimmers must wear the school team uniform for all championship meets. It is very<br />

important to know suite requirements. Caps and goggles are not considered part of the<br />

uniform. If a logo other than your school or the U.S. flag is on your cap, the cap must be<br />

worn inside-out.<br />

NOTE: OIA ruling on team uniforms will be in effect.<br />

Girls and Boys events will be scored separately to eight (8) places.<br />

Individual: 9 - 7- 6 - 5 - 4 - 3 - 2 - 1<br />

Relay: 18 - 14 - 12 - 10 - 8 - 6 - 4 – 2<br />

Ribbons for first through fifth places for all events.<br />

A permanent plaque to the first place girls and boys team.<br />

There will be no admission fee.<br />

A full concession will be operating at nominal cost. Coaches and<br />

officials will receive complimentary meals courtesy of Kalani High<br />

School.<br />

Teams are requested to set up tarps OUTSIDE the wall surrounding the pool deck. If the<br />

tarps are infringing on the pool deck, the team will be asked to relocate the tarp. Kalani<br />

High School WILL NOT BE RESPONSIBLE for the security of the tarps and equipment<br />

left overnight.<br />

INFORMATION:<br />

Divers shall follow the 2009-2010 National Federation of State High School Association<br />

diving rules.<br />

Choice of dives shall consist of 5 voluntary dives and 8 optional dives<br />

a) The 5 voluntary dives shall come from each of the 5 groups and shall have<br />

an assigned dd of 1.8<br />

b) The 6 optional dives shall include at lest 1 chosen from each of the 5 groups.<br />

No more than 1 optional dive from the same group is permitted through<br />

semifinals<br />

c) The dives to be performed during each round of competition shall be s<br />

follows: Prelim Dive #1-5 Any 2 voluntary & 3 optional<br />

Semi Dive #6-8 2 voluntary and 1 optional<br />

Final Dive #9-11 1 voluntary and 2 optional<br />

This format will also be used for the State HHSAA competition.
