to Join <strong>Frost</strong> <strong>Brown</strong> <strong>Todd</strong><br />

<strong>Erwin</strong> <strong>Roberts</strong> to join <strong>Frost</strong> <strong>Brown</strong> <strong>Todd</strong> Litigation Department<br />

May 24, 2006 (Louisville, KY) <strong>Erwin</strong> <strong>Roberts</strong>, Secretary of the Personnel Cabinet of the Commonwealth<br />

of Kentucky is joining <strong>Frost</strong> <strong>Brown</strong> <strong>Todd</strong> in its litigation department beginning June 19, 2006.<br />

<strong>Erwin</strong> <strong>Roberts</strong> attended the University of Kentucky College of Law graduating in<br />

1997. He began his professional career in public service as an Assistant<br />

Commonwealth’s Attorney in the Fayette County Commonwealth Attorney’s office<br />

where he prosecuted state felony cases.<br />

In 1999, <strong>Erwin</strong> joined the United States Attorney’s Office for the Western District of<br />

Kentucky. He served as an Assistant United States Attorney prosecuting federal drug<br />

cases until 2001. Shortly after September 11, 2001, <strong>Erwin</strong> was asked by Lieutenant<br />

Governor Steve Pence, then U.S. Attorney for the Western District of Kentucky, to<br />

serve as the Anti-Terrorism Advisory Council (ATAC) (formerly the Anti-Terrorism Task Force)<br />

Coordinator and Chief Information Officer for the Western District of Kentucky.<br />

On November 17, 2004, Governor Ernie Fletcher appointed <strong>Erwin</strong> <strong>Roberts</strong> Secretary of the Personnel<br />

Cabinet. Secretary <strong>Roberts</strong> joined the Fletcher administration in March of 2004 serving as the first<br />

Director of the Kentucky Office of Homeland Security (KOHS). Before his appointment as Secretary of<br />

the Personnel Cabinet, he briefly served as Deputy Secretary of the Environmental and Public Protection<br />

Cabinet.<br />

<strong>Erwin</strong> currently serves his country in the United States Army Reserves. As a Captain in the United States<br />

Army Judge Advocate General’s Corps (JAG), he provides legal assistance to fellow soldiers.<br />

<strong>Erwin</strong> is married to Pheli <strong>Roberts</strong> and has four children.<br />
