A four-session class focused on the communicative dimension of being a healing presence.<br />

Open to all interested persons, lay ministers, clergy as well as health and spiritual caregivers.<br />

Completion of course required of those wishing to be a Geisinger volunteer Chaplain Assistant.<br />

Facilitator: Chaplain Karl A. Polm-Faudre PhD, Geisinger Division of Spiritual Care.<br />

Fee: $10.00; free for GMC volunteers. Course handouts and media provided. Scholarships available.<br />

ART OF CARING CONVERSATION – LEVEL TWO<br />

Thursday mornings, 9:00am-12:00noon, on October 15 and 22, <strong>2009</strong>.<br />

A two-session class focused on deepening and expanding concepts and skills acquired in Level I.<br />

Open to all interested persons, lay ministers, clergy as well as health and spiritual caregivers who have<br />

successfully completed all four sessions of the Art of Caring Conversation – Level I.<br />

Highly recommended for those already serving as Geisinger volunteer Chaplain Assistants.<br />

Facilitator: Chaplain Karl A. Polm-Faudre PhD, Geisinger Division of Spiritual Care.<br />

Fee: $10.00; free for GMC volunteers. Course handouts and media provided. Scholarships available.<br />
