The Preschool Playgroup is open to parents and
caregivers of small children for fellowship and recreation
in God’s creation.
Summer schedule is as follows,
weather permitting:
Thursday, June 7, 10 a.m. at Demorest Park
(adjacent to Piedmont College). Meet at the play
equipment near the gazebo. Pack a snack or picnic
lunch.

Roof, Clayton. Meet at the church at 9 a.m. if you
want to caravan.
Thursday, June 21, 10 a.m. Demorest Park.
Thursday, July 5, 10 a.m. Demorest Park.
Thursday, July 26, INK (Interactive Neighborhood
for Kids), Gainesville, an interactive play experience
for children. Meet at 9:30 a.m. at FBC to
caravan, INK opens at 10 a.m. Cost is $8 per child and
$8 for adults. Children under 2 are free. Pack a sack
lunch or snack, indoor picnic area is available.

Fun at First Baptist Cornelia
Join us for a fun-filled summer of activities designed
around the needs of your family. Use
this guide as you plan adventures for your
preschool and elementary age children.
Including: Terrific Tuesdays, “Living Inside
Out” on Wednesday nights, MOSAIC Arts
Camp and Vacation Bible School. We hope to

Terrific Tuesdays Schedule
Terrific Tuesdays are field-trip style outings for rising
1st through completed 6th graders. We will combine
faith and fun with devotion times and missions
opportunities in the course of our adventures.
Space is limited, so register early by calling Carol
at 706-778-4412. The deadline for registration is
noon Monday before each Terrific Tuesday event.
Chaperones are needed, please call Becky Hughes,
706-768-6727, if you can help. Parent check-in and pickup
in the gym; enter through the portico at the corner
of Foreacre and Larkin Streets.
*denotes Preschool Playgroup opportunity on Terrific
Tuesdays. Preschool parents and caregivers must
provide own transportation and child supervision.

Tuesday, June 5, My Community Day.
9 a.m. to 2 p.m. (parent pick-up) We will package dog
treats with a Proverb to pass out at Cornelia’s new Club
Canine Bark Park. We will tour the park, then head over
to Cornelia Park for playtime and picnic. After lunch,
we will prayer walk downtown Cornelia and end back
at the church for a freezer treat. There is no charge for
this event.
*Preschool Playgroup may join us at Cornelia Park at 11
a.m. for playtime and picnic.
Tuesday, June 19, Trip to
Atlanta!
9 a.m. to 4 p.m. (parent pick-up).We will
visit North American Mission Board missionaries Twyla
and Kerry Jackson at Bezalel Church to hear about their
ministry to the Arts Community in downtown Atlanta.
The Jacksons are sacred artists whose church plant is
in a funky old theater. The Jacksons will prayer walk
with us four blocks to Centennial Olympic Park splash
pad for a picnic and wet fun. Please wear a bathing suit
under your day clothes and bring a sack lunch. There is
no charge for this event.
Tuesday, July 17,
Greenville Zoo.
9 a.m. to 4 p.m. (parent pick-up).
Cost is $4.50 per child; extra for
snack concessions, if desired. We
will eat our sack lunches at the
Zoo’s picnic shelter near the Africa exhibit.
*Preschool Playgroupers may follow us to the Zoo and
join us for lunch at the picnic shelter.

Splash Zone,
Gainesville.
9 a.m. to 3 p.m. (parent pick-up). Wear a bathing suit
under your day clothes. One-piece suits only for girls,
please. We will eat our sack lunches under the reserved
patio. Cost is $6 per child; extra for snack concessions
if desired.
*Preschool Playgroupers may join us at the Splash Zone
(there is a great preschool area) and eat lunch with us on
the patio. No food is allowed in the park, so be prepared
to pack a cooler in the car and retrieve it at lunchtime,
if you plan to eat with us on the patio. Concessions are
inexpensive, if you go that route.
Tuesday, August 7, GA
Baptist Convention
headquarters, Duluth/
Sky Zone Trampoline
Park, Suwanee. 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. (parent pick-up).
We will tour the beautiful facility that is home to the
Georgia Baptist Convention and meet some of the
staff who work with children’s curriculum and eat our
sack lunches in the café. Afterward, we will jump to
our hearts content at the indoor zero-rise trampoline
park. Cost is $9 per child.
*Preschool Playgroupers can attend Sky Zone Trampoline
Park. We have a 1 p.m. reservation time to jump for one
hour. You can jump longer for two dollars more. There is
a small toddler jump zone.
MOSAIC Arts Camp,
June 25-29,
a unique creative experience
for rising 1st through
completed 6th graders.
Disciplines include drama,
music, dance, pottery and
art. Cost is $25 per child and
space is limited. Registration forms are available at the
church, or the website at www.fbccornelia.org or by
calling 706-778-4412.
“Living
Inside
Out!”
is the theme for our Wednesday night program
for rising 1st through completed 6th grades on the
following evenings: June 6 (kick-off); June 13; June 20;
July 18, July 25, Aug. 1 and Aug. 8.
(No Wednesday evening programs on June
27, July 4 and July 11 due to MOSAIC, July 4th
holiday and VBS)
“Living Inside Out!” combines high-energy music,
games and object lessons to teach Bible truths.
Program starts at 6:15 p.m. with snack supper, ends at
7:30 p.m. in the gym.

Learn Bible truths as we
explore God’s Awesome
Power through music, Bible lesson, crafts and games.
