Baxter’s fentanyl injection productss in May, 2011. The company cannot<br />
provide a reason for the shortage.<br />
Hospira states the shortage is due<br />
to increased demand and manufacturing delays<br />
including<br />
quality improvement<br />
activities. Hospira is ncreasing production of the ampules<br />
to help meet the<br />
demand.<br />
