Annual General Meeting
Members are hereby advised that the 50 th Annual General Meeting
of MARCH GOLF CLUB LIMITED will be held in the clubhouse on
Thursday the 8 th of December 2011 at 7.30 p.m.
Members are reminded that only FULL members who have either
paid in full or commenced payments by standing order by the 31 st
of October 2011 are eligible to vote.

c. Report of the Management Committee and Statement of
Accounts.
d. Chairman’s Report.
e. Captain’s Report.
f. Election of Officers

(iii) Vice-Chairman
(iv) Committee
g. Election of Captain and Vice-Captain.
h. Introduction of the Lady Captain.
i. Appointment of the Auditors.
j. Any other business which is authorised to be transacted at
an Annual General Meeting must be notified to the Secretary
10 days before the meeting.

RETIREMENT AND ELECTION OF MEMBERS OF THE COMMITTEE
1. All members of the Committee standing for re-election at the AGM and
nominations for vacated positions are requested to be deposited in the
Secretary’s Office by Sunday, 27 th November 2011.
2. I am directed to draw your attention to Articles 43 to 45 of the Articles of
Association which read as follows:-
43 At each Annual General Meeting all the Officers and other Members
of the Committee (including any additional Members appointed by
the Committee as provided by Article 31), shall retire from office. A
retiring Officer or other Member of the Committee shall be eligible for
re-election.”
44 The Club may, at the meeting at which an Officer or any other
Member of the Committee retires in a manner aforesaid, fill up the
vacated office by electing a person thereto, and in default the retiring
Officer or Member (as the case may be) shall, if offering himself for
re-election, be deemed to have been re-elected, unless at such
meeting it is expressly resolved not to fill a vacated office, or unless
a resolution of such Officer or Member shall have been put to the
meeting and lost”.
45 “No person not being an Officer or Member of the Committee retiring
at the Meeting, shall, unless recommended by the Committee for
election, be eligible for election to membership of the Committee at
any General Meeting, unless within the prescribed time before the
day appointed for the meeting there shall have been given to the
Secretary notice in writing, by some Member duly qualified to be
present and vote at the meeting for which such notice is given, of his
intention to propose such a person for election, and also notice in
writing signed by the person proposed, of his willingness to be
elected. The prescribed time above mentioned shall be such that,
between the date when the notice is served, or deemed to have
been served, and the day appointed for the meeting there shall be
not less than ten nor more than twenty-eight intervening days”.
