Q: Are post-adoptive services a big part of the ITN?
A: Any post-adoptive services required will be clarified and clear in the
ITN.
Q: Is OK changing how services are provided? Are we going back
to the model of one provider for overall services like ChildNet
and Palm Beach?
A: We are not planning on changing the system at this time.
Q: What is the current Recidivism rate?
A: We don’t have that information with us. Miami-Dade and Monroe
are using SDM to assess safety and risk.
Q: At this time do you have an idea of the number of Providers
that Our Kids want? What is the Our Kids system of care?
A: No, we don’t have the number of Providers at this time. The Our
Kids System of Care is an integrated system that provides an array
of seamless, culturally competent services to children and families
in this area.
Q: Has there been a discussion about changing from several case
management agencies back to a super market service delivery
like the model they have in Broward and Palm Beach
Counties?
A: I can’t say for sure what’s going to happen.
Q: When a child first comes into the system of care and
undergoes SDM and services are provided that keep the child
in the home, who provides services to those families? The
FCMAs?
A: No. We have Intensive Family Prevention Service Providers. This is
the name of the model.
Q: Every child where there has been a report of abuse, and they
do an investigation, it has been verified, gets Intensive Family
Services?
A: An explanation of prevention services and SDM was given. We
currently serve families that are “high risk”, “very High Risk” or
where there’s a Safety Threat. We don’t serve “Low to Moderate
Risk”. For “Low to Moderate Risk” we work with the PIs to locate
community resources.
Comments/Suggestions: It was recommended to increase the level of care and to reduce the
quarterly performance incentive payments or holdback.
