<strong>Club</strong> <strong>Getaway</strong>, New England’s Sports and Adventure Resort, has select weekends just for<br />
Girl Scouts. Last year, more than 20,000 children from schools, camps and Girl Scout troops,<br />
experienced our unique blend of sports, adventure and fun.<br />
<strong>Club</strong> <strong>Getaway</strong> is located in the Berkshire Mountains of Kent, Connecticut just 90 minutes from<br />
New York City and one hour from Westchester and Hartford.<br />
The <strong>Club</strong> <strong>Getaway</strong> Difference<br />
Our directors, sports & adventure staff and entertainment team will create the perfect experience for your <strong>girl</strong>s. We will design a<br />
program that is right for your troop. Our staff will motivate, officiate and keep the excitement high. The <strong>Getaway</strong> difference is a highly<br />
structured program with close supervision. From Flag Ceremonies to Campfires, Girl Scouts have everything at <strong>Club</strong> <strong>Getaway</strong>.<br />
Water Sports<br />
Get wet in the sparkling mountain lake. Go for a swim or try the Banana<br />
Boat. Canoe or row across the lake. Hop on a Kayak or Paddle Boat. Play on<br />
the inflatable Water Trampoline and Water Slide.<br />
Team Up<br />
Team challenges get everyone in on the fun.<br />
Girl Scouts team up and compete in the <strong>Getaway</strong><br />
Olympics, the Scavenger Hunt, Orienteering and Low<br />
Ropes Super Challenge Course.<br />
Adventure Sports<br />
Girls gain a sense of accomplishment pushing past their limits in adventure sports.<br />
They love the thrill of flying through the air on the 350 foot Aerial Zip Line and Bungee<br />
Trampoline and challenging themselves on the Climbing Wall and Cargo Net. They can<br />
even climb a mountain on the Rock Hike.<br />
Go International<br />
Introducing <strong>Club</strong> <strong>Getaway</strong>’s 1st “Go International” badge! It’s a chance for<br />
your troop to interact with our international staff from across the Globe, as<br />
they learn about different cultures and try new foods. It’s a great way to<br />
add a unique badge to each <strong>girl</strong>’s collection.
Delicious Food & Country Cabins<br />
Our two dining rooms and outdoor tents create the perfect<br />
setting for wonderful meals. Our chefs are known for their fresh,<br />
delicious food, and provide a wide selection to cater to all tastes.<br />
Breakfast and dinner are served family-style, and lunches are<br />
bountiful buffets.<br />
Comfortable country cabins overlook the lake and mountains. All<br />
are air-conditioned, heated and have a private bath.<br />

Summer Camp Trips for Scouts<br />

In addition to our Girl Scout Weekends, many troops choose to<br />
bring their <strong>girl</strong>s for our July and August Midweek Camp Program.<br />
More than 250 Girl Scout Troops, Day and Travel Camps, Park &<br />
Rec Departments, YMCA’S and JCC’S bring their children to <strong>Club</strong><br />
<strong>Getaway</strong> for these exciting programs. Scouts can choose anything<br />
from a Day Trip to a Full Midweek stay. <strong>Club</strong> <strong>Getaway</strong> provides<br />
all the staff, sports & activities, equipment, meals, lodging and<br />

Girl Scout Families love our Family <strong>Getaway</strong>s! It’s a chance for<br />
families to stay together and play together, yet do everything kids<br />
and grownups like to do on their own. Kids will have a blast in our<br />
fully supervised Kids and Teens <strong>Club</strong>, while parents are relaxing<br />
and enjoying all that <strong>Getaway</strong> has to offer.
