Travelling to and from school
Students are reminded that they should travel directly between school and home both on the way to and from school each day.
Delays in arriving home can cause some anxious moments for parents.
Students are representing themselves and the school when travelling to and from school and are expected to behave
appropriately.
Older students are asked to care for younger siblings if required.
The use of the school crossing has been excellent, keep up the effort.
Returning of Notes
Children are often sent home with notes asking for parent permission for a variety of activities.
In all cases forms include a due by date.
I ask that parents adhere to the due by date to allow for the smooth operation of all school events.
It can be quite distressing for a child and staff if the permission form has not been returned,
particularly on the morning of an excursion or sports event.
So please return forms by the due date to ensure the best outcomes for all involved.
Uniform Shop
The uniform shop is open every Wednesday from 2.30 pm – 3.30 pm. Order forms are available from the office.
Rowie Webster
Rowie Webster, a water polo Olympian and from the Victorian Institute of Sport came to our
school to promote the Premier’s Active Families Challenge. We were very lucky as we were
one of ten schools in the state to have Rowie come to their school.
Rowie spoke to the Year Prep – Twos, about life as an Olympian and the dedication and
sacrifices she has to make in order to be on top of her career. She also spoke about the
rewards she gains from being fit and healthly.
Rowie took the students on the basketball court for twenty minutes of fitness to give students
ideas and fun activities to do for the challenge.
