Quinta das Bandeiras, Douro, Portugal<br />

Traditional port varieties, mainly Touriga Nacional and Touriga Franca. The wine was matured in<br />

Allier French oak casks, mainly Francois Freres, Taransaud and Seguin Moreau, for 18 months before<br />

being bottled in 2007. It is a very expressive, almost seductive, wine with obvious mature, dark cherry<br />

fruit flavours whilst retaining an attractive freshness.<br />

The dark purple colour, translates perfectly the richness of this wine. The aromas are those of<br />

concentrated ripe fruits. In taste, its richness and the density are dominated by roundness, consistency,<br />

Légende Médoc is made with all the care & attention that goes into the making of a Grand Cru. The<br />

(mainly Cabernet Sauvignon) grapes come from selected plots & are required to meet the highest<br />

standards: yields are strictly limited – only perfectly ripe, healthy grapes that have reached optimum<br />

maturity are used. Ageing takes place in barrel. Légende Médoc offers the wine drinker all the hallmarks<br />

of a Cabernet Sauvignon dominated Bordeaux, without the need for long ageing.
