Abstract:
This is a workshop where you will get the insights of what it
takes for you to improve your creative potential.
You will discover the 6 basic areas for stimulating your
creative performance and abilities to generate innovations.
Many of us might not be too good at integrating the right
surroundings and possibilities for ourselves to make it easy
and possible to get good ideas and develop them into
concepts. And even if we are, we might sometimes lack the
ability to put them in to real life.
The workshop will facilitate an inspiring dialogue and an
interaction with a handful of the participants.
In a hands on and learning by doing scenario you will create
results by following the model of innovation that Ole and
the MAD House Denmark is using towards it’s clients.
The process is a mixture between a lead into basic creativity
& innovation and trying it out yourself.
You will get the opportunity to let other people generate
solutions and ideas to a challenge you have put forward. If
you choose to do so, you will get a load of well qualified
ideas that you can go home and put into action.
The extra benefit from this session will be that you are able
to network and get to know people with interests and
knowledge that will enrich you.
Speaker:
Ole Vestergaard Poulsen is the director and ”architect” behind the most untraditional Centre of
Innovation in Denmark. The name of the Centre is MAD House Denmark and is located in a 3500
m2 big place that used to be a Psychiatric Hospital from 1888. From here he runs an Innovation
Bureau that offers conferences, travels, teambuilding, project management and design
management all focused on innovation.
The Innovation Centre also contains 25 companies together with a user driven education in
innovation on MBA level, that LEGO, Nokia, B&O, DONG, Danfoss, Novo and Middelfart Sparekasse
has invested in. Ole has a background as an industrial designer and has worked his way up
through the LEGO Company to a position as Vice President for Concept & Design i Global
Innovation & Marketing for about 200 employees. At LEGO Company he has been the driving force
in creating numerous successful concepts, such as LEGO Technic, Bionicle Mindstorms and Clikits,
which has produced billions of revenue for the company. Besides that he has been deeply involved
in creating ”People Power” in the turn-around initiatives in the company to bring it around
economically.

On top of all this Ole has created the first electronic outdoor playground in the world (in Vejle in
2004), which is now being spread to other cities in Denmark. He is co-author of the book “The
Innovation Recipe” that came in 2007. Ole is a recognized facilitator and speaker about innovation
processes and creativity.
