When to contact us PROCEDURE IN CASE OF THEFT… 1. Call 911 to declare your vehicle stolen and get a theft report number (required for tracking) 2. Call 1.855.9.LOJACK 3. An agent will ask for details regarding the theft 4. Our in-house tracking team will be deployed KEEP US UPDATED Be sure to contact our Customer Service department at 1.855.9.LOJACK in any of the following cases: 1. YOU CHANGE ADDRESS, TELEPHONE NUMBER, EMAIL ADDRESS OR ANY OTHER CONTACT INFORMATION. Helping us keep your file up to date is important as it will ensure that you can be contacted in the event of the theft of your vehicle. It also ensures that any notifications on the status of your device or account reach you in a timely manner. 2. YOU HAVE THE ALERT FEATURE AND DID NOT PROVIDE US WITH YOUR CONTACT INFORMATION. Having all your contact information on file is mandatory; otherwise, your Alert feature will not work. Frequently ASKED qUESTIONS Q: When will my RECOVERY DEVICE be FUNCTIONAL? A: All of our recovery devices are immediately functional upon installation. Q: What should I do if my VEHICLE is STOLEN in THE UNITED STATES? A: If your vehicle is stolen in the United States, report the theft immediately to Boomerang Security Central and the police in the town where the vehicle was stolen. Once you have completed a stolen vehicle report, the police will automatically activate the LoJack unit in your vehicle. Q: What happens if I CHANGE or SELL my VEHICLE? A: If you purchase or lease a new vehicle, save money by benefitting from our Loyalty Program. Contact us at 1.855.9.LOJACK to make sure whatever you drive stays protected. Q: What should I do if my VEHICLE is INVOLVED in an ACCIDENT? A: If your vehicle is involved in an accident and/or sustains damage as a result of an accident, call us at 1.855.9.LOJACK to schedule an inspection for your LoJack device. This inspection is required to ensure that your device is in working condition and to maintain your limited warranty coverage. Q: How does THE THEFT NOTIFICATION WORk? A: With the Alert feature*, if your vehicle moves without your authorization or knowledge (i.e., is driven without the Key Fob present), you will receive an electronic theft notification to the points of contact you provided at the point of sale (emails and phone numbers). When eight hours have passed since the initial notification, the electronic theft notification feature automatically goes into sleep mode. This is a preventative measure so that if the electronic theft notification is triggered inadvertently (e.g., you lose your Key Fob or your Key Fob battery is low), you will not receive repeated notifications. Should you determine that your vehicle has been stolen, follow the procedures in case of theft. In the event that your vehicle is driven without the Key Fob present, you can reset your Alert feature by simply driving for at least five (5) minutes with the Key Fob present in the vehicle. *Feature available only with the LoJack Alert device and within the service area.
